We recently had our wedding at Wotton House, and we couldn't have chosen a better venue! From day one of booking, the team at Wotton couldn't do enough to accommodate us. The venue is absolutely stunning, the old library was the key room in our decision making but the whole grounds are beautiful with the Italian gardens. The hotel rooms were lovely and comfortable, and all our guests enjoyed their stay. On the day, everything ran so smoothly. The team made sure everything was exactly as we'd asked, taking all of our decorations and personal items and displaying them beautifully without us having to worry about a thing. The team even arranged all our flowers beautifully the next morning, in the separate wedding party breakfast area. It was such a thoughtful gesture and allowed us and our guests to enjoy them for even longer. We are so grateful to everyone at Wotton House for helping make our day so special and memorable. We would highly recommend Wotton House to anyone looking for a beautiful Surrey Hills wedding venue with an incredible team who genuinely care about making your day perfect. We had our wedding at Wotton house in September and I cannot recommend this venue enough for your wedding day. Not only is it absolutely stunning, I had goosebumps the first time I saw the old library dressed up but the team are fantastic. Our coordinator Vicky made the whole planning process so easy. She kept everything in order of what we wanted & gave us ideas. Her and the team on the day were amazing and the day ran so smoothly. Everyone said to be prepared for things to go wrong but I can honestly say nothing did and if it did it was dealt with well enough that we were non the wiser and that it was you want from your venue.We had our wedding at Wotton house in September and I cannot recommend this venue enough for your wedding day. Wotton house as a venue speaks for itself, a stunning setting that just gets better and better around every corner, we fell in love with it for our July 4th wedding at first sight. Planning our day with Vickey was everything and more, her friendly approach makes you feel she is just as excited as you are along side her patience she helped guide us through process with ease! Right by my side taking care of the finer details on the day she helped me feel relaxed and focused on what was the best day of my life. We could not have chosen a better venue for our wedding than Wotton House. From start to finish, the team made the whole experience feel completely carefree and exceptionally well organised, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment of our day. The venue itself looked absolutely beautiful in the late spring bloom, particularly the gardens, which provided the perfect backdrop for such a special occasion. The food was fantastic, and so many of our guests commented on both the quality of the meal and how attentive and friendly the staff were throughout the day. A special mention must go to our Toastmaster, Bill, who was amazing. He kept everything running seamlessly, made us feel completely at ease and added a wonderful personal touch that our guests genuinely enjoyed. The only point worth noting was that, due to the unusually high temperatures, some guests found the bedrooms quite warm without air conditioning. However, the staff were extremely supportive and proactive in helping to find solutions wherever they could. Our wedding day was everything we hoped it would be, and Wotton House played such an important part in making it so memorable. When we first went to visit Wotton House we could not believe our eyes, having lived nearby for many years, I did not ‘know’ Wotton House. I knew of it but had no true idea of it’s beautiful grounds and location which was truly a truly stunning, fairytale-like setting. Even some of our guests that lived locally was stunned at the grounds and building. So many comments from other guests were great to receive. If you choose Wotton House - you have chosen exceptionally well. Vickey was our wedding coordinator, and she had such attention to detail, guiding us through all the elements that we need to consider on the day. We chose the Whimsical Package which included almost everything you need. The Getting Ready room on the day for the Bridal party was a great addition and if you haven’t thought about having something like that before, you really need it!! There were a few curve balls thrown at us and Vickey just did her magic and all was well, only possible with years of experience – thank you thank you Vickey! At Wotton House, they only have one wedding per day unlike other establishments we visited! That meant that you can chose from the Old Library to the Italian Gardens for the ceremony and the same for the wedding breakfast. We chose the stunning Old Library with it’s amazing pillars for our grand ceremony and used the outdoor terrace for our drinks reception. Having spotted the Wotton House mobile Gin bar on our first visit, that was definitely going to elevate our drinks reception and so it did! Having our first set of photographs around the Italian gardens and around the Wotton estate, we headed off to the Evelyn Suite for our wedding breakfast which was so beautifully arranged. Vickey was meticulous at making sure everything was perfect!!! We had Bill the Toastmaster included in our package and he was a big help and a treat on the day – we have some funny memories! Everyone was on hand to make sure the whole day went fabulously well. The food, well what can I say- we had a fabulous experience at our tasting event and even though that was amazing, on the day itself, it was even better (if that is possible). We had so many wonderful comments for our guests about the service, food and variety of drinks on the day – that meant to so much to us to hear that! Cocktail towers in the Old Library allowed staff to make our evening entertainment area into a ‘new’ area to house our chosen band and other important elements for the best evening possible. Thank you Wotton House and a big thank you t Vickey, not to mention Bill and Tracy. We had the best day on our wedding day staying with Wotton House. We had a church ceremony off-site but stayed with Wotton House the night prior and for our reception and party. Jodie was great in accommodating our requests, including a large contingent of my family from overseas, as well as some of the other different customs from my home country. She was very responsive and helped plan the day perfectly, going through our itinerary in depth and making sure each detail was correct. We also had a great day tasting prior to make our choices - the food is delicious! (and our guests also said the same!) On the day, everyone gave great service and were so helpful, from the wedding organisers and staff at the desk, to the catering managers, waiters, and the Master of Ceremonies. The grounds are stunning and we were made to feel so welcome, which helped make our day even more special. Besides the stunning Italian gardens and beautiful building itself, everything at Wotton House was absolutely incredible from start to finish. Our wedding planner was so organised and helpful, making the whole process feel easy and stress-free. On the day, the staff were exceptional — you always knew they were there, but everything ran so seamlessly you never saw the operations behind it all. The included toastmaster did a fantastic job keeping everyone together and on time, which honestly made such a difference. The food was lovely and they were very accommodating with allergies and intolerances. Our honeymoon suite was absolutely beautiful, with so much space and a huge bathroom featuring a gorgeous standalone bath. By Car From the M25 just exit at Junction 9 and follow the signs to Dorking. Please use postcode RH5 6QQ which will bring you to the entrance to our drive located next door to the Wotton Hatch Pub. By Train Dorking is accessible by both Dorking (Main) Station and Dorking Deepdene, trains run regularly from London Waterloo and London Victoria to Dorking Main. Wotton House is just a 10 minute taxi drive from Dorking station along the A25. Taxis are available at Dorking Main Station By Air London Gatwick Airport is just 16 miles (30 mins) from Wotton House and London Heathrow only 25 miles (40 mins). Taxis are available at the airports but we do recommend pre-booking a taxi to avoid long waiting times.

We would definitely say delegate tasks to your loved ones! You have people around you that love you and want to help in every way possible! So take the pressure of yourself and enjoy the process as much as possible, don't let the wedding planning stress, takeover the happy moments!

We would have to say the live painting artists! They take photos of your wedding guests and paint the photograph for guests the takeaway! What a memory to keep hold of!

There is no doubt it would be our beautiful Italian gardens and our temples! Our newlyweds always share their photographed moment infront of the temple with us, and every time, it takes our breath away!

We are very lucky to have had some fabulous famous faces here at Wotton House. However, we really respect their privacy, so we're afraid, it's our little secret!
