The Vermont Hotel

We had our wedding in the Vermont in October 2024, and I stayed the night before and we both stayed the wedding night, in the Riverview suite. It's a gorgeous suite, very spacious with a sitting room overlooking the Baltic and river, and a comfortable bedroom, and bathroom with complimentary toiletries. Breakfast was included and was lovely. Every single staff member we met was friendly, helpful and very welcoming.

Everyone has been super helpful with any questions or requests we had, nothing was ever a bother and they were incredibly accommodating. Lukas was our wedding coordinator and we just loved him, we were a bit clueless about how weddings worked so he helped us with the structure of it all and made the day run so smooth! We had quite a few 3rd party entertainers, the staff work so well with them and us to organise everything and coordinate set ups.

We got married at the Vermont last week and hired out Above for the day. From the planning all the way through to afterwards the team couldn’t have done more to make our day perfect!! Tanya the wedding planner was brilliant and supported us through the process, the food and service in Above was outstanding. Would highly recommend!!

Where do we start, Joanne and I had our wedding day here, and I can truly say the wedding team were amazing, from start to finish. Tanya, Lukas and Anya were brilliant. The venue itself is beautiful. The views from the top of the hotel in The Above of the River Tyne and bridges are breathtaking. Every staff member of the team went above and beyond to make our day special. We can't fault the hotel/staff in any way. If you are looking for a wedding venue in Newcastle, it has to be The Vermont.

And The Vermont Hotel just kept delivering. Jade speaks fondly of the incredible service provided by an array of individual staff members that made the reception festivities truly unforgettable. “The wedding planning team are true experts – they made us feel like royalty from our first visit to checking out the next day,” she notes “and they even organised for Nigerian jollof rice to be available for the evening guests.”

Not Quite Sure Where To Start! We Had Our Wedding On Sat 8th June This Year. From Gareth The Consierge To Our Wonderful Wedding Team Tanya & Lukas Our Full Weekend Was Magical. Claire The Ops Manager & All The Breakfast Staff. Nothing Was Too Much For Them. We Had Our Afternoon Ceremony & Wedding Breakfast In The Ballroom Then Our Evening Party At The Above. If We Could We Would Rate This Venue & Staff At 6 Stars!

Held our daughters wedding there on the 8th and can't fault the place. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. The food and service was excellent as was the wedding planner and the evening venue "The Above" on the roof with 360 degree views of Newcastle was incredible. Great disco and bbq. The breakfasts were brilliant with a great choice and again excellent service. Well done The Vermont. We will be back.

We had our wedding at the Vermont on the 23rd May 2024, an absolutely fantastic day the hotel couldn't do anything more for us a special shout out to Lukas our wedding coordinator he was outstanding really went above and beyond for us. Also Sarah a member of the team was fantastic, very friendly and nothing was a problem. We had a brilliant day and everyone had an excellent day! Thank you Mr & Mrs Morgan.

My husband and I got married at Above on 10th August and words can not describe how amazing all the staff were from day 1. I feel like we got to relax and float through the wedding day itself thanks to everyone at Above. Even the bar staff were in incredible and got involved in the fun. Everyone was such an integral part and made us so at ease. The food was amazing and varied enough that everyone could enjoy, also there was plenty for everyone. Everything was on time and ran so smoothly. And lastly, of course, the interior style and views from the balcony were gorgeous and made for a beautiful background to our photos that we’ll cherish for a lifetime. We cannot thank you enough!

We chose the Vermont as our wedding venue and were so pleased we did. The planning process was made so much easier by Nicole, who was very professional, made good recommendations and kept in frequent contact. Camilla was our MoC. She was great and made sure everything ran smoothly. Nobody seemed stressed which made us feel relaxed. All the staff at the Vermont went above and beyond to ensure our day went without a hitch. We were allowed to use the sky lounge for photos, despite not having it reserved, and the food was outstanding. The taster menu was a very accurate representation of what the food was like on the day itself. The DJ supplied by the Vermont was good fun and accommodated our guests (sometimes bizarre) requests. All in all the wedding was mostly stress free and a lot of this was to do with the hard work of the staff. We couldn’t have made a better choice.
