The Bell in Ticehurst

What can we say about The Bell in Ticehurst? For us, it was nothing short of perfect. We'd had a difficult couple of years, personally, leading up to our wedding, but being able to put all that behind us at The Bell, on the most important day of our lives, made it worth it. We could not have asked for more. We had our wedding over two days - a registrar ceremony on one day, then a celebrant ceremony the day after - and, if you can, we would highly recommend doing the same and staying at The Bell the night before the 'big day', as well as the night-of. Both days were sublime! The night before our official wedding, we had an intimate registrar ceremony in the Stables followed by dinner and drinks with family and bride/groom parties. Not only are the suites and rooms absolutely stunning, it was also lovely that everyone staying on-site could get to know each other, and have breakfast in the pub in the morning! In fact, many of our guests said they wished the wedding had lasted even longer! The food (we selected the 'Bespoke Menu') was exactly what we had hoped for - it was even better than on the tasting evening we were invited to - and The Bell went above and beyond catering for all dietary requirements (we had a guest who was pregnant, plus multiple vegans, vegetarians and allergies!). And, of course, no summary of The Bell would be complete without saying a huge thank you to the staff! From Becky, our wedding co-ordinator, to Jess who oversaw things on the actual day (as it was Becky's own 'big day'). to everyone on site, they couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. If there were any issues on the main day - though I doubt it! - we had no idea! The Bell's team ran everything like clockwork, making sure everyone was where they needed to be. The Bell's team was amazing at putting us at ease, no matter what was going on. Since the wedding, so many of our guests have (proactively) reached out to say what an incredible day(s) it was. I think that speaks volumes. If you're even thinking about booking The Bell - don't think! Do it! You won't have any regrets.

We cannot thank the staff at The Bell enough for their superb service. From the moment we booked we were so impressed with how Tessa our wedding coordinator made sure our day was exactly what we wanted. The food was sublime and every member of staff went out of their way to ensure we had the perfect day. Special mention to Jess who made sure our day ran like clockwork. Would thoroughly recommend!

We organised our wedding remotely from Canada and had to reschedule twice because of the pandemic. Tessa was amazing, I can only imagine how many other couples she was juggling but she made what a stressful time more bearable with her patience and kindness. When we FINALLY got married the day was wonderful. We felt so well taken care of and the venue was perfect - enough room for guests to spread out but also small enough to be intimate. The food was incredible (thank you Oscar), Bryce and Jess were attentive and friendly and the lovely venue had everyone telling us they wanted to come back for a weekend break. We used Andrea across the road in Ticehurst at the Art Bunch for flowers and she did a lovely job. Would recommend the Bell 100% and we cant wait for our anniversary visit!

Our wedding was rearranged 3 times due to covid, but nothing was too much for the venue and we they helped us seamlessly organise the most amazing day. Food was superb and plenty of it to keep us going throughout the day (suggest the evening Mac and cheese!). The staff were so attentive and Tess and Bryce kept everything moving and seamless throughout and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Our close family all stayed at the venue too the night before and after which made a huge difference as it become a full weekend of celebrations, and the rooms, lodges and garden are simply beautiful. A perfect day of memories, thank you.

We had our wedding reception at The Bell and it was perfect! The atmosphere was amazing, the staff were attentive and so friendly, and the food was delicious. Our guests were coming up to us all night to compliment the venue! The accommodation was just what we wanted, and so quirky! Thank you so much to Tessa, Bryce and the team, we're already looking at coming back for our 1st anniversary!

We had our wedding at The Bell at the beginning of October. Tessa and the Events Team handled everything perfectly all the way through the process. We felt that we asked so many questions, but the team were always happy to help. The day itself was perfect. We’ve been to a lot of weddings where timings fall by the wayside and the bride and groom are running around. The team at The Bell made sure we were all in the right place at the right time and we didn’t have to do anything! The food is exceptional. The decor is unique. Honestly we could not have asked for better!

We loved every single moment of our wedding at The Bell, from getting ready in the inn and lodges to the ceremony in the cosy room upstairs, the confetti catwalk, the amazing food and wine served at three long tables where we sat, the speeches in the stable, dancing upstairs and then ending the night around the campfire (and many more memories that we'll keep thinking of!) And all our guests said how very "us" the day was, so thank you to The Bell for providing the perfect venue and accommodating all our personal touches. We didn't have to think of a thing on the day as Tessa, Bryce, Jess and the team were always ready and had it covered. Everything was perfect and we'll talk about our wedding at The Bell forever.

We had our wedding at The Bell just over a week ago snd still can’t get over how perfect it all was. Tessa, Bryce, Jess and the team were absolutely brilliant- they did everything possible to put us at ease, and ensure the day ran smoothly. The meal was out of this world, everyone has commented on how they have never had such good food mass catered. It was piping hot and delicious- usually you find that even the best of places dip in quality when cooking on mass, but that didn’t happen - the quality was as good as when we had our tasting meal- who knew carrots could taste that good? The venue looked superb and of course truly unique. It was everything we dreamed and more. We were so fortunate with the weather and we’re able to use the beautiful outdoor area all day as well. Loved that we had the fire pit late at night fir sparklers and marshmallows. The atmosphere over the whole day was incredible. Our guests were all wowed by it and are desperate to return. We felt totally taken care of by the team - nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with a smile. Thank you so much to you all. We would recommend The Bell for a wedding, quite without reservation .

We were lucky enough to chance upon this unique venue when we treated ourselves to dinner and an overnight stay for a birthday celebration. Whilst there, we realised that this was indeed a hidden gem. From the first moment that Tessa showed us around we realised this would be the ideal venue for our intimate wedding. She encouraged and advised us on how we should go ahead with our reception with lots of good ideas carried out with professionalism. Her attention to detail was sublime. We were so grateful for her input into our day. The venue is was outstanding, quirky and homely. We had an amazing day, with superb food and exceptional attention to detail by all of the staff. Our day was led by Bryce with good humour, and there was nothing they wouldn’t do to help our day go without any hiccups. All of our guests commented on how amazing the venue and accommodation was, and lots looking forward to returning there soon. We will definitely be back to enjoy the incredible unique accommodation and exceptional food. We can’t thank you enough for making our day so special.
