The Barn

We had our Wedding here and it was everything we could have dreamed of. We had the most perfect day. Janet and Philippe were amazing from start to finish helping us plan our special day. Nothing was too much trouble, and when we provided our decorations the staff put them out perfectly! All of the staff were fantastic, friendly & helpful and a real credit to The Barn. Everybody commented o how delicious the food was, and they were able to provide Vegan and Veggie options for us too. I would fully recommend the Barn for your special day, you won't regret it.

We chose The Barn as our wedding venue and reception because of its quaint and cosy feel. We had a party of 50 and we fitted comfortably. If anyone wants a small but intimate wedding day myself and my new husband could not recommend this venue enough. From the start, it was a smooth easy approach, communication was excellent and both Philippe and Janet (owners) could not have been more approachable. The efficiency of them both is outstanding, the day itself went so smoothly and with no hiccups! We were kept informed throughout the day/evening on everything, the food was so great we had loads of compliments from our family and friends. The service was impeccable, never an empty glass and everyone was so polite! The DJ was amazing he listened to the preferred music taste myself and hubby liked and was really lovely. The buffet was great lots to choose from and again we had so many compliments on that. I can't express the gratitude I have for this venue and the lovely people making it so amazing. If you are thinking of visiting The Barn please do! You will not be disappointed. Thank you Philippe, Janet and the The Team for making our day that much more memorable xxx

Perfect wedding day! Philippe and Janet were fantastic right from initial enquiries, viewing the venue to planning our wedding (on such a short timescale!) They were always on hand to answer any queries and put our minds at rest. It was a very stress free experience. The venue was perfect for us and was made even more so with the setting out of our decorations which was done beautifully. Staff where all attentive and friendly and the food was delicious. Not to mention all the little touches they and their staff provided that made it that little bit more personal from helping unload the car when dropping off the day before, moving centre pieces from upstairs to downstairs after the meal, giving us left over bottles of wine to take away to reloading the car when we came to pick it all up! The day was perfect, we want to do it all again and we would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a more personal venue! Huge thanks again.

My husband and I tied the knot at The Barn in November ‘19 and the day was just perfect! Philippe, Janet and the team are the lovely, helpful and friendly. They all made our special day that little bit more special. We especially loved how laidback the team were, we went at our own pace, the team fed off our guests and our needs without us asking, timings we’re not stuck in stone so we had the freedom to sneak off to Calverley Park for photos with our amazing photographer (as recommended by the Barn!) and our guests were looked after so well they didn’t notice us gone! From my husband and I, thank you! Our families and friends were so impressed and we all had a fantastic day! See you soon for dinner. Dear Phillipe and Janet Now that life has returned to normal, I thought I'd take some time to thank you and your wonderful staff for the part you all played in making our wedding day so special. The day couldn't possibly have gone more smoothly. It was everything I'd planned and more. Having a free rein to plan the day as I wished was ideal for a control freak like me - and my husband was suitably impressed with my efforts! The Barn looked beautiful and stylishly simple. Just what I'd dreamed of. Our guests have made many comments about how delicious the food was and the waiting staff were very professional - discreetly going about their duties without any disruption to the celebrations. Many special memories were made that day and will be remembered for years to come. Once again, thankyou so much.

We have only just managed to take a moment to reflect on our day, as it passed by so quickly, and we wanted to send over a message of thanks. Chris and myself could not thank you enough, from the very beginning when we were looking to view The Barn right up until the day after you were all so wonderful. You made our day possible, you have been so very helpful with all of our enquiries, millions of questions and plans for the day as was Phillipe during our meetings prior to the big day! Philippe and his team truly made the whole of The Barn look spectacular, making my vision of ‘the perfect venue’ into a reality, it actually exceeded all expectations (apologies to them for having to unpack boxes and boxes of decor) and our guests were blown away with how beautiful the ceremony and reception rooms looked. Now for the food… what can I say?! To start, our guests were astounded at the ability to choose their own food prior to the day and then even more so when we mentioned that we had such a wide and varied choice to narrow it down from. When the food came out everyone was pleased with their choices, all of the food looked delicious and it came out hot and perfectly cooked. Many guests mentioned how they enjoyed the fact they received a ‘proper meal’ unlike most weddings that they had been to before (and we were extremely grateful for our surprise ‘three for me’ puddings too, our favourite!). Although we were too busy dancing to eat much buffet food in the evening the spread looked wonderful and it was great to have been saved a plate by the kitchen to take home at the end of the night, what a lovey touch! We would like to thank Philippe and all of the staff at The Barn for their service on the day, they really did go the extra mile to ensure it all ran smoothly and that we had the perfect day. Phillipe was so organised and helpful throughout and we even got chaperoned to Calverley park by Paul, armed with umbrellas, and showing us all of the best spots for photos. It truly was the most wonderful day, made even more so by friendly, funny and extremely helpful members of the team. Our parents and grandparents have all said how The Barn did us extremely proud, the highest of compliments, and we couldn’t have wished for a better day. Again, thank you so so much for making our day what it was. Beyond expectations, extremely special and so unique. All our love, Mr & Mrs Morgan. xx

Dear Janet, Philippe and everyone at The Barn, Thank you for hosting our wedding, Neil and I had the most wonderful day. It was relaxed, informal and everything we hoped it would be. Your attention to detail was amazing and very reassuring in the weeks and days leading up to the wedding. The Barn looked beautiful on the day and our guests were taken care of from the moment they arrived until the last person left. The food was very good and people appreciated that they had a choice of menu options. When I arrived and I went upstairs to talk to the Registrars, the noise from the bar below was incredible. I could hear the sounds of conversation and laughter as friends and family came together and I knew the day was off to a good start. Thanks again for making our wedding day so special. We cannot thank Phillipe, Janet and their team enough for such an amazing day! The entire day ran so smoothly without any hitches. The food was fantastic and all of our guests commented on how lovely it was. Our cheese tower was amazing! We were also given the remainder of the bottles of wine and Port that were left over to take home. A perfect venue for a personal intimate wedding and all our guests loved it. Luke the DJ was brilliant too! Had everyone on the dance floor literally all night! Some aching legs the next day! Cannot thank you enough for a wonderful perfect wedding day!

Wow, what can I say but thank you so much to Philippe and the fantastic team at The Barn. We got married here on Sunday 15th September and had a truly wonderful day! It was completely stress free, and the food and service was amazing! A special thank you to Janet as well for all your support in our planning process, you were an absolute star! If your debating whether to get married here or not, debate no more, The Barn is perfect!

Dear Philippe and Jan, Graeme and I would like to say such a huge thank you for hosting our wedding! We couldn’t have asked for more that day, the Barn is such a cosy place and the gardens are beautiful. It was decorated just how I had asked and every single person who attended has said it was such a perfect day! A lot of this praise must go to you and Jan for always being at the end of email queries, for helping us to organise the wedding breakfast menus and Philippe, for being present throughout the whole day, which was very reassuring Everyone also said how nice the food was, the rack of lamb was very impressive! The wine flowed, the non-drinkers catered for well and the upstairs restaurant was laid out so thoughtfully it was just such a lovely place to be. It was important to me, to replace the large rose print too – so thank you so much for helping us to put something else in place. The other staff were very organised when we arrived with things the day before and throughout our day too. Philippe – the flowers looked beautiful in jars and we thank you for this initial idea, as we didn’t really know where to start with doing our own flowers. Although the credit and love goes to my mum for this one! (Absolutely brilliant mum, love you!!!)
