Howies Waterloo Place & Howies Victoria Street both boast fresh, seasonal, Scottish food & drinks, and he very best of Scottish hospitality, 7 days & nights a week, in two iconic city centre locations Directly above Howies Victoria Street, on a sweeping, south facing terrace, now sits Scotts Kitchen. The newest addition to the family, est. 2017, Scotts is open at 9am daily for breakfast, all day dining and drinks, and alfresco dining over-looking the iconic Victoria Street. Available to hire for private events, we offer quality, bespoke packages and private dining options, right in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town.

We do not charge a room hire fee but ask that you meet a minimum spend - that's on all food and drink for exclusive use of Scotts Kitchen. We have a range of packages available, starting at £39.95 per person.

Happy couple married in April

Amazing for Private dining

My husband and I recently hired Scotts Kitchen for private dining after our small wedding. The staff were amazing and extremely helpful and attentive. They were very accommodating to us. They catered for all the dietary needs of our guests. The food was incredible and was enjoyed by everyone. There was a lovely and relaxed atmosphere that suited us down to a tee. I can't recommend this place enough.

We had my mums 80th here there was 27 of us had the place to ourselves every single one of us had the most gorgeous food and the staff went above and beyond, Justyna was brilliant at organising the afternoon and the staff couldn’t have been nicer and so attentive would highly recommend

Happy couple married in September

I'd 100% do it again

We booked Scott's kitchen for a meal for 38 of us in total, including a few kids on the day. They made the process of planning things unbelievably straightforward and smooth, and provided us with a wonderful drinks reception with canapés on the terrace followed by a delicious three course meal. The restaurant is ideally located for a city wedding, was beautifully decorated and the food and staff were excellent. I'd 100% do it again, but I plan on only having the one wedding!

We hired the whole of Scott's for an evening event and everything was perfect - food, service, and helping us organise the whole thing with good comms. Perfect for a small event!

Perfect venue for wedding meal

We held our small wedding meal (33 of us) at Scott's, with exclusive use of the restaurant for 2 hrs. It was a beautiful day, and our guests enjoyed fizz on the terrace on arrival. The team were very accommodating of our slightly fluid timings! The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and service friendly and unobtrusive. Highly recommended!

We booked the perfectly located Scott's Kitchen for a private corporate dinner for 30 people. We were blessed with good weather, so were able to enjoy pre-drinks outside overlooking the beautiful Victoria Street. It was a cosy but comfortable set-up and Fiona and the team looked after us really well. Our guests took part in whiskytasting before enjoying a traditional Scottish dinner. The feedback from our guests was that the food, drink, ambience and service was excellent.

Intimate wedding - perfect!

From the minute we booked we were really impressed with the service of the staff. On the day of our wedding the staff couldn’t have been nicer, they had decorated the tables and cake just as we had asked. The food was great - we had so many compliments on the meals. The location is perfect, right in the centre of a beautiful street & it has a lovely terrace that you can use. A special mention for Justyna and Fiona - they are a credit to Scotts. Highly recommend Scotts for an event!

Welcoming wedding

Fantastic welcoming venue for our daughter’s wedding. I knew as soon as we stepped in the door that Jennifer & Paul’s wedding reception would be a great success! Everyone was smiling, everyone was welcoming and the champagne was already poured! The front of house team had laid out the room, tables and wedding cake as we’d asked making it a cosy setting for our small party. Unobtrusive but attentive service. Enjoyed myself so much I went back in the next morning to personally thank the team.

Perfect wedding reception

We had our wedding reception at Scott’s Kitchen in May. Everything was absolutely PERFECT. The restaurant was intimate, elegant and romantic. We all enjoyed both the atmosphere and the food. The staff made us feel at home and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thanks for making our wedding reception so special!

Great food and perfect restaurant for a small fami

We had a tiny wedding celebration at Scott's Kitchen and it couldn't have been more perfect. We wanted something small and intimate and they closed the restaurant for our group of 30 people. Food was excellent and service was even better. We will definitely go back and we're already planning on celebrating our wedding anniversary there every year!
