Carberry Tower Mansion House & Estate is an exclusive-use castle wedding venue set within 40 acres of private parkland in Musselburgh, Lothian & Borders, just outside Edinburgh. Offering the feeling of a romantic Scottish escape while remaining easily accessible for guests, the estate allows couples to step away from the everyday and celebrate in complete privacy, surrounded by the people who matter most.

Dating back to 1480, Carberry Tower is known for hosting elegant, relaxed and deeply personal weddings. Couples are drawn to its historic charm, beautiful gardens and the warm, supportive approach of an experienced events team who work closely with each couple to bring their vision to life and ensure the entire experience feels effortless.

Ceremonies take place in the light-filled Chapel overlooking the walled gardens, creating a romantic and intimate setting to exchange vows. Afterwards, guests enjoy drinks and photographs in the iconic Rose Gardens or inside the fabulous Drawing Room.

Dinner is then served in the stunning Banqueting Pavilion, a bright and spacious setting designed for memorable wedding breakfasts and heartfelt speeches. As evening approaches, guests move into the Parterre Suite where the celebration continues with dancing, live entertainment and an unforgettable evening reception for up to 180 guests.

One of the most loved aspects of a wedding at Carberry Tower is the opportunity to enjoy exclusive use of the estate overnight. Couples and their guests can stay within the Mansion’s elegant bedrooms, transforming the wedding into a full weekend experience filled with shared moments and lasting memories.

Our exclusive use facility fee pricing varies from £6,699, to £10,999, depending on the day of the week and the season. Our lower end pricing at £6,699 is based on a midweek wedding in January 2027. Our higher end pricing at £10,999 is based on a Saturday in August 2027, which is our peak season. Exclusive use of the venue includes all of our function spaces and 40 acres of land as well as 30 bedrooms in the mansion house. Pricing is based on exclusive use starting from 12pm on your wedding day until 11am the following day.

We got married on May 9th 2026 and everything was literally perfect. We really loved every minute! Lauren was with us in every step of the preparation and the staff in Carberry was also extremely lovely and prepared. Food was delicious and the night stay was nicely arranged! We could not have asked for a better wedding. Carberry Tower was the first wedding venue we visited and we fell in love straight away, it had everything we were looking for and the team instantly almost us feel comfortable. Lauren made the planning process so easy, answering our many questions along the way and never making us feel like a bother. On the day everything was seamless, we did not have to worry about a single thing. If there were any issues Lauren and the team dealt with them asap and we were none the wiser, all supplier management was fantastic and we really were able to enjoy ourselves without any thought about logistics. We were lucky to have the most perfect weather I have ever experienced in Scotland and it just added to the ambience of the day. The whole team were amazing. If we could get married at Carberry Tower over and over again we would. We could not recommend this venue and the team more highly.We could not have asked for a better wedding. You will have a fairytale wedding! If you’re considering them, do it, I promise you won’t have any regrets! Carberry Tower hosted my wife and my wedding on 06/12/25. They were incredible from the first day showing around right up to the even after the big day itself. There is no ask too big for them and the number of compliments we got about the staff and the food on the day was unreal! The day itself was perfect and felt so magical and special and it was all a testament to the work by the one of a kind team. The food was brought out seamlessly. The rooms are stunning and the venue looks so amazing at Christmas. A special shoutout to Rebecca our wedding planner who worked tirelessly to give us the perfect wedding but I could do a shoutout to all the staff. I can’t put into words what a perfect venue this is for a wedding. All I do is reiterate my message at the start; if you are considering them do it you won’t regret it.You will have a fairytale wedding! We had our wedding here in October 2025. We hired the venue for exclusive use for two nights and had 100 guests staying on site. Everything was perfect, from check-in Friday, casual dinner on Friday, breakfast on Saturday, the ceremony, the reception, the dinner and the dance. It is a beautiful setting for a wedding, with so many indoor and outdoor spaces. Autumn time at Carberry is also particularly nice with the leaves turning on the large trees there. It is also convenient to get to - it is hard to believe you can get all this within a short taxi ride from Edinburgh city centre. The staff were fantastic and kept everything moving very professionally, not just on the day but also during the planning before the wedding. And finally, the food is amazing. We had so many compliments about the food and dinner service from our guests, which was great to hear. Thank you so much!We had our wedding here in October 2025. We got married at Carberry Tower and from start to finish it was a delight to organise with them. The venue and the grounds are stunning, the food was amazing and on the day we didn't have to take care of anything. We were discretely guided through the whole event and could just enjoy our guests. We had the absolute wedding of our dreams at Carberry Tower Mansion! The venue is breathtaking—full of character, history, and charm, with stunning grounds that made every photo magical. A huge shoutout to Isabella who got us started when we booked our date and another huge shoutout to Lauren who had taken over and looked after us nearer our wedding day and the actual weekend of our wedding. From the moment we first visited, they made us feel completely at ease. Their attention to detail, calm professionalism, and genuine care made the whole planning process feel smooth and stress-free. Our wedding planning experience was nothing short of 5 stars from the start. We had the pleasure of planning our wedding with Isabella and Lauren who were extremely responsive, provided lots of information in the initial pre-booking stages, showed us around the venue and went through every detail of the day. We never felt any pressure to book and felt all our questions were answered in plenty of detail. The events team were very organised and highly professional over email and in person. Our wedding planning experience was nothing short of 5 stars from the start. We had the most amazing time at Carberry for our wedding this May. We were there two days, and both were lovely. Even if you don't have plans for your stay, the grounds are beautiful to walk around and very well maintained. We lucked out with weather and were able to have all of our events outside, which the staff very kindly accommodated. The day of the wedding itself went off without any issues (and if there were issues, I didn't know about them which is the best thing you could want as a bride). The food was hands down amazing from hors d'oeuvres to drinks to dinner. The service and every single person on staff was friendly, kind, and excited to be there. There is not a single thing negative thing I could say about staying or celebrating at Carberry. Thank you Carberry for the best day ever :) We had the most amazing time at Carberry for our wedding this May. We were there two days, and both were lovely. Our wedding day at Carberry was honestly the most unforgettable experience of our lives! The staff could not do more to help, Lauren, Agnes, Jenna, Dean and the whole team all worked together so seamlessly to pull off an incredible day. No job was too small and they all really took the time to get every detail looking perfect. I’ll never forget seeing the dining room all made up how we wanted it and how amazing it looked. Communication was great in the lead-up and all our guests commented on how the meal was amazing! Such an amazing venue, they deserve all the hype and more!Our wedding day at Carberry was honestly the most unforgettable experience of our lives!
