My daughter was married at Carberry last week (20th July) and I just wanted to thank all the staff for an amazing day. The attention to every little detail shown by your team made it an epic day for everyone. So many friends and family have been in touch to say what a wonderful time they had and how great Carberry Tower and the team were. Where to begin… getting married at Carberry Tower has been the best decision we ever made. As soon as we turned into the drive we were like ‘this is it’. In terms of the venue itself, it is stunning - beautiful and traditional and unique, but also very informal and comfortable (nothing pretentious AT ALL!). It would be beautiful in spring and summer, but we got married on 4 December and it is just as atmospheric and gorgeous at that time of year. Something we loved about the venue is that each part of our day was in a different location - we had the ceremony in the Ceilidh Hall, drinks in the rooms upstairs, dinner in the Banqueting Pavilion and dancing in the Rose Garden rooms. This gave a nice variety of settings for our guests rather than just re-setting the same room! The dance floor is A LOT better than other venues we viewed, with much more space and a wooden floor rather than just a small square in the middle. A nice touch is that alongside the girls having their own room to get ready in (the Music Room, which it’s worth noting is exceptionally stunning), the boys could also use the whisky or ‘Beacon Room’ to relax before going down to greet guests. From a pragmatic point of view the location is ideal for people travelling, being just out of Edinburgh/ off the bypass. There are also 30 bedrooms and lodges, so lots of guests can stay. There is a Premier Inn a 3-minute drive away as well, which is very convenient. Our wedding coordinator was Kirsty, and she has been the BEST. It’s hard to sum up the contribution Kirsty has made to our day in only a paragraph, but we literally couldn’t have done it without her. She met with us at Carberry whenever we were able to visit (which was always fun as well as being productive), she gave great advice and answered all of my questions with endless patience (despite some of them being silly ones!), and she put total commitment and effort into making sure we had the best weekend of our lives. We could not have been luckier than to have her by our side during this time, and she really made the process of organising a wedding fun, rather than terrifying! A huge thank you also to Lyn, Milena, Peter, Kasia and the rest of the team who made our day the best it could be! From the moment we walked into Carberry we couldn’t have felt more welcome or at home there. Even the small details that often might go unnoticed - when we did our menu tasting a few months before the wedding, it was set out as a candlelit dinner in the Music Room and was probably the nicest dinner we had ever had! The food on the day was also fantastic and so many guests complimented it. Every single member of the team was just lovely. We absolutely love Carberry Tower, it’s one of our favourite places in the world and I would recommend it to anyone for their wedding. There’s just something special and magical about it. We will definitely be back to visit, to stay for our anniversaries and to say hello to the team! Thank you Carberry!

Right from the beginning everyone at Carberry Tower was very helpful. As we began our search for a wedding venue during covid it was a little difficult however the team at Carberry were great, sending us a video and talking us through it at home. Once restrictions were lifted and we were able to look around in person we absolutely fell in love with the venue. Isabella was our contact and she was brilliant! Every question and query we had was dealt with. When we had our taster meal for picking our food choices, the service was excellent and it felt really special as we had it privately upstairs. The run up to the day again every question we had Isabella was there to help and our meetings were great, definitely helped calm my stress levels! On the day everything was perfect, from when David arrived first thing on the wedding day to the following morning at breakfast, everything was impeccable. We had so many compliments from our guests on the food and the service. The food was absolutely delicious! We were taken care of the whole day by everyone at Carberry Tower! So to Isabella, Peter and the rest of the team at Carberry, thank you so much for such a perfect day!
