Description
Set within 55 acres of private grounds outside Edinburgh, Norton House is a 19th-century manor house approached through a stone gatehouse and along a tree-lined drive.
The Usher Suite, Garden Suite and smaller period rooms allow celebrations to take different forms, while the lawns provide space for civil, religious and humanist ceremonies outdoors. Evening receptions can welcome up to 200 guests.

The Usher Suite
Capacity: 140 for a ceremony or wedding breakfast; 200 for the evening
Filled with a wonderful sense of occasion, the Usher Suite allows you to exchange vows beneath sparkling chandeliers before transforming for dining and dancing.
The Garden Suite
Capacity: Up to 130 guests for a civil ceremony
Located within the walled garden, this self-contained venue enjoys its own grounds. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame views across the grounds and fill the room with natural light, while modern décor provides a versatile backdrop for your chosen style.
Intimate Ceremony Rooms
Capacity: Up to 40 guests
The Drawing Room, Redwood Room, Linden Room and Verandah Suite each offer period features and views across the manicured grounds, making them well suited to celebrating with your closest family and friends.

From start to finish the process was easy and flawless. Also if you have a dog and would like him or her at wedding do it and do it here!! We had our dog all day with us at wedding and it was best decision... We cannot wait to return again, we will be back. Honestly, the best day, our dream come true.We finally had our dream wedding thanks to Norton House A massive thank you to the staff but espically to Jen our wedding coordinator and Jill who looked after us on our big day. However, with 10 weeks to go, we changed the plan last minute to accommodate 27 more guests! Was it a problem, absolutely not! The team at Norton were amazing. As part of our package, our guest got a discount on their rooms, so nearly all our guests stayed at the hotel. We are so glad we chose the Norton Hotel & Spa for our wedding. Our Operations Manager on the day, Jillian, was fantastic and everything went exactly as planned, exactly as we wanted it. The guests raved about the staff, venue and food and our day was honestly perfect. Our Coordinator, Laura, was friendly, helpful, professional and nothing was ever too much for her. Everything was absolutely perfect. From the organisation, to the staff, the food, and the operations over the weekend it was everything we ever dreamed of and more. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
The best wedding – easy! Gavin, our Banqueting Operations Manager tells us: "I was a groomsman at one of my best friend’s weddings a few years ago. I was quite apprehensive about it being at my hotel and more importantly being looked after by my department without me there in charge but it was an incredible day. Everything was just perfect. I was so proud of the staff and what they achieved and the way that everything ran. Also experienced my first silent disco that night – brilliant."

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
An Italian wedding handed out mini coffee percolators to all their guests. Luckily for us they had a few left over for the staff too!

Elegant, Historic, Romantic, Luxurious and Passionate
Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Outside the spa we have an outside pool which is used by all our photographers for a “reflection shot”. In addition, the tree swing in the woodland walk makes for a lovely intimate photo. Also our beautiful redwood grove is the perfect spot for early evening pictures.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Every wedding couple is treated like celebrities at Norton House...

Haggis Bon Bons all day long.
