Full Description
Pekes is a lovely old Tudor Manor house in the heart of the East Sussex Weald and a beautiful place to host your beautiful Wedding Reception.
Our Manor house is a perfect place to receive your guests, full of atmosphere and lovely old beams. It has a large dining room and two kitchens for catering.
We have on-site accommodation for 44 of your family and friends, spread out between the Manor house and our 3 other houses on the site.
There is a very large and picturesque lawn for your Marquee(s), with easy access for suppliers and caterers.
We throw open our main gates, and your guests approach the houses up our drive across lovely old parkland.
There is ample parking both at the house and an area of the park near it.
You can have music and dancing up to midnight, and softer music after that.
Your friends and family can enjoy all our facilities - laze in the indoor heated pool, enjoy the Jacuzzis, play tennis, croquet, badminton, etc., wander round the garden and enjoy the views over the Sussex Weald, or just sit in a chair in the sun.
We have a secluded private estate with no noise and no traffic to disturb you. The surrounding fields are farmed organically, so no nasty sprays and chemicals around.
Pekes Manor is all yours for 2 days, all weekend or all week if you wish.
We have a Wedding License for use inside in our Tudor Dining Room and a lovely Gazebo outside looking out on to Wealden Views.
Just 52 miles from central London and 13 from Eastbourne and the sea, and with nearby rail links, Pekes is perfectly situated for anyone wishing to hold their Reception weekend in the South-East of England.

When I joined the Pekes team in May 2019, I saw immediately that our message from this lovely place was quite simple - 'Stay, Celebrate and be Happy'. As an experienced Weddings manager and coordinator, I couldn't think of a better place for any couple to come, settle in, get married and spend some days celebrating surrounded by your closest family and friends, and making memories that last a lifetime. It's so private and peaceful and beautiful, there are flowers everywhere and the birds sing.

We have been going to Pekes Manor since 2009
We have been going to Pekes Manor since 2009, 2 0r 3 times a year with our dogs & absolutely love the whole place. We have stayed in both Gate Cottage & Tudor View, both very different but with their own unique charm & love the beautiful surroundings & the whole ambience of the place. We would definitely recommend it.

Absolutely wonderful old Tudor house.
Absolutely wonderful old Tudor house. Large dining room, 2 kitchens, many lovely bedrooms. Nice staff. Great views. Nice grounds, with chickens (helped myself to a fresh egg one morning). Games room could do with some tarting up and updating, but the swimming pool and jacuzzi were fantastic! Very good pub / restaurant (The Gun) just 20 mins walk or 4 min drive.

Great facilities, very cosy
Had the best weekend staying at Pekes Manor....Great facilities, very cosy considering it's such an old house. Great to have use of the pool, sauna and indoor hot tub. Loved it....lovely to meet Slayer the cat too!!

Brilliant weekend creating beautiful memories
“We rented the whole of Pekes for our wedding weekend at the end of May. We had the whole wedding party plus our family staying and it really was the most incredible weekend. The grounds are stunning, the houses really lovely and the staff and Eva are all delightful and helpful. There are also lots of garden games that can be put out on the main lawn (including croquet and badminton) and we had a brilliant family weekend creating beautiful memories that will last and last. We all loved it so much that, one month later, we’re already talking about coming back again next year!”

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
Our best weddings are those that are relaxed and unique. We are such a DIY venue you can really make your wedding your own. We have had doves fly, fireworks, friends sing, all types of food and food trucks, create your own flowers, horse and cart, Picnic dinners, Rounders matches, joint birthday and wedding celebrations, outside cinema, fire pit, and much more!!!!
