Mount Ephraim offers a unique, classically romantic venue for your wedding or civil ceremony. From the spectacular views of the gardens and estate, to the elegant sweeping staircase leading into the main hall; where we often host ceremonies and receptions. At Mount Ephraim we can offer you a memorable and relaxed experience to make your big day extra special.
We can accommodate ceremonies of up to 100 people in the house or garden. The manor house reception rooms offer seated wedding breakfasts for up to 100 guests, with room for a total of 175 evening guests. Or for larger wedding parties we can host receptions on our front lawn in a marquee, overlooking the stunning ten acres of gardens, with room for 250+ evening guests.
We’re very flexible – if you’re looking for a traditional affair, there’s no better romantic setting. Or if you’re looking to explore arrangements a little more leftfield, we can accommodate you too. There is also never a wedding the day before or after your wedding, so you can relax, take your time and enjoy your moment!
We also offer accommodation, from our spectacular Sir Edwyn Suite for the night of your wedding, to 4x other newly decorated B&B guest rooms, so you can wake up to the stunning views and setting, and all enjoy breakfast the morning after. Plus, you can also hire out our modern, country themed, self-catering Garden Wing, sleeping 12, offering you the chance to have more of your closest friends and family to stay over your wedding weekend.
The estate has been owned by the Dawes family since 1695 and is still run by members of the family today. It’s this family touch that lends Mount Ephraim it's personal charm. Come and meet us, view the estate and find out how we can help create your dream wedding.

Everything was managed by the team seamlessly
Our wedding at Mount Ephraim was beyond perfect. We fell in love with the venue from the first time we visited and knew straight away it was exactly what we wanted. From the gardens to the ceremony areas and the guest rooms to the breath-taking staircase, it is a fairy-tale venue. Everything about our day was managed by the team seamlessly, especially Vicky. She worked tirelessly to ensure that our day was perfect and was always on hand for help and advice.
The recommended caterer Scott Anderson provided the most stunning and delicious afternoon tea I have ever experienced - exactly what we requested!
We cannot recommend Mount Ephraim enough and look forward to returning to reminisce in the years to come.

Where do we start. We had the most amazing day and the most amazing weekend at Mount Ephraim.
Every time we met Lucy before the wedding, nothing was too much trouble. She was so helpful from start to finish. She was faultless throughout the day, and there for us when we needed it, everything was done perfectly.
The house was the ideal venue for our wedding breakfast and reception, and everyone loved it. The staircase was part of many of our best moments throughout the day - walking down those stairs is the most amazing feeling.
Our family stayed in the Garden Wing (which we can also highly recommend!) over the whole weekend, and it made it the family time we wanted and meant that the wedding day felt like a whole weekend as the house and gardens were ours for a lot longer!
We cannot recommend this venue and team any higher, we could not have wished for anywhere better for our special day.

We couldn’t have asked for a better venue to have our wedding. The most amazing day

The best wedding venue
The best wedding venue! Lucy our wedding coordinator was fantastic the day went off without a hitch (we were so chill throughout the day it was great) The venue itself is stunning, you can get married inside or outside (both places are beautiful). Plenty of places for romantic photo opportunities. The best part is that we can come back and visit the gardens during the summer, which can’t do with a lot of wedding venues!

Describe the best wedding that happened at Mount Ephraim Gardens?
All of our weddings are truly wonderful and each is unique to the couple, but for me, my own wedding was the best! I got married in the gardens back in 2005 and had a marquee reception on the front lawn for around 150 guests. It was the most magical day and to get married at my family home surrounded by my friends and family was the icing on the cake - or the profiteroles actually as we didn't have a wedding cake!!
