Milwards Estate

Milwards House is a Grade II listed house for which you have exclusive use, set in the beautiful Sussex countryside surrounded by the South Downs. Surrounded by 150 acres of organic grass meadows and woodland and a stunning 5 acre lake, the country surroundings provide the perfect setting for your special day. The entrance hall has a historic charm boasting original features of vaulted ceilings, wooden beams and stained glass window. The Coach House is licensed to hold civil ceremonies for up to 60 guests seated. The ceremony room with its vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and twisted chimney above the fireplace creates a stunning ceremony space for you and your guests. The large gardens wrap around the terrace with well established lawns gently sloping towards the lake. The circular koi pond makes an ideal setting for enjoying your welcome drinks surrounded by rose beds, rose arbour, herbaceous borders, trees and shrubs. The lakeside lawns provide additional space to hold larger ceremonies outside with a stunning lakeside backdrop. The marquee next to the lake is fully lined with flagstone floor and picture windows across the lake for seating of up to 150 guests. We have our own licensed bar and friendly bar staff and up to date sound and lighting system with in house DJ, fairy lights and starlit canopy over the large dancefloor. All tables and chairs are included, glasses and front of house to manage your day for you. Live bands are welcome.
