What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Before you look at venues consider your numbers. Both your minimum and maximum.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
A bride had unfortunately lost both her parents and was to walk down the aisle alone, it was upsetting to her. When it came time to enter her groom walked down the aisle and met her and walked with her. It was the most special moment they walked in to their married life together. I do not think there was a dry eye in the room.
Describe your venue in 5 adjectives.
Beautiful, unique, breath-taking, exclusive, welcoming.
Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
This is a hard one as there is so many spots. For me the turret in the garden over looking the Kent coast and English Channel!
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Yes but we do not mention names for privacy. We have however had a few film and TV productions at the castle and Paul McCartney recorded at the castle with Wings.
What’s your favourite canapé?
Japanese breaded prawns with honey and wasabi but the honey and mustard sausage skewers are a favourite amongst guests.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
You cannot beat a bacon roll at the end of the night to see your guests off.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
It is a grade 1 listed, exclusive use castle with breath taking views stretching from Hythe to Rye and on a clear day you can see France.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
The staff, nothing is very to much trouble.
