Description

Whalton Manor Gardens, located in the unspoilt, traditional, Northumbrian village of Whalton, is a unique venue. Couples looking for an intimate, private venue with that individual feel will have found the perfect setting for their ceremony. The exquisite, private, three-acre family garden is exclusively yours to use for your wedding ceremony. Your ceremony takes place in the stunning, stone-built, Italianate summer house surrounded by your family and friends. The gloriously imaginative planting and magnificent architecture give your photographer huge scope to provide a unique record of your wedding. Our gardens also provide a unique opportunity to offer drinks and canapes before heading off for your evening reception. We have an arrangements with the Village Hall to carry on your festivities there or we can arrange to transport you somewhere else in the region.

My Daughter decided to celebrate her wedding festivities at Whalton following a church ceremony
My Daughter decided to celebrate her wedding festivities at Whalton following a church ceremony. The location is out of the way but not too far to travel to Morpeth/Newcastle and you can get to Newcastle International Airport by a direct route and there are lots of hotels here for guests to stay.. . The gardens look absolutely beautiful and are very well managed. The marquee was nicely positioned in the top garden whilst we had canopies and bubbly in the lower garden. As we had lots of small children at the wedding we had garden games and a small bouncy castle to entertain them (worked a treat).. . The wedding breakfast was exceptional. I had eaten at many very good restaurants around the UK and Europe and this was among the best I have had and other guests agreed. A big thanks to William the owner of Boldon Farmhouse Pantry.. . In the evening we had a Disco and the venue was ideal as there were rows of small lights in the roof of the marquee which made the venue even more magical as the daylight faded. The DJ was also excellent (Kenny from Metro radio).. . The photographer was with us all day starting in our home photographing my Daughter and her bridesmaids till the end of the night. A big thank you to Elaine from Sean Elliott photography (based in the Biscuit Factory in Shieldfield, Newcastle Upon Tyne).. . The event managers Gary and Dawn (Signature 1) were absolutely brilliant and made the day flow perfectly. These guys are ultimate professionals and I thank them both.. . The owners of the Property Penny and Timmy Norton made us feel most welcome and that their gardens were ours for the duration. A big thanks to them for allowing us to hire the gardens.. . We also rented the East Wing of the Manor which is beautiful and well appointed and sleeps 6 people (managed by English Country cottages) and helped us simply to fall into bed when the celebrations ended.. . I would recommend anyone who wants something very special for their wedding and not simply a corporate package in a hotel chain where every wedding is the same.

Wedding photo venue
This was a lovely venue . We used it simply for photos and pre wedding breakfast drinks, as we had a church wedding and village hall reception. We stayed in the east wing of the Manor House, which was ideal.

Perfect for a 'country-style' wedding
Visited this venue as there was a wedding open day. Absolutely gorgeous. Grounds are immaculate. Perfect for anyone wanting a 'country-style' wedding. So much choice and can tailor the wedding to exactly what you want.

A beautiful English garden
A beautiful English garden in the Northumbrian village of Whalton. Fabulous wisteria, fragrant roses, a multiplicity of border plants. Just delightful.
