The Venue Bowers Mill Full Description
The Venue was previously a former textile woollen mill, Bowers Mill is surrounded by woodland and a lake sits in front of the mill.
We are an exclusive use venue, and hold three Wedding licences. Couples are offered flexibility and choice where they set their ceremony. 'Bowers' originally the carding and weaving room can hold up to 400 guests, however this space can be divided to create a more intimate setting. The Spinning room overlooks the rooftops of Bowers Mill and has capacity for 120 guests, or choose an outdoor ceremony - say "I do" under the pagoda overlooking the lake.
We have renovated the space giving a nod to its original mill heritage. Stripped wooden floors, high ceilings, exposed brickwork and wrought iron pillars make it the perfect setting for an industrial chic Wedding. Along with a stylish interior The Venue Bowers Mill is surrounded by breath-taking scenery; a woodland backdrop and a lakeside setting create the perfect background for your outdoor wedding photographs.
We are a family owned company and love to host wonderful weddings. We offer a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for you and your guests to enjoy, and our experienced events team work closely with couples to achieve their dream day. The Bowers Mill Boutique Hotel is currently in development on site and is due to welcome guests during 2020.

Name of Wedding Contact: Nicola Walton
The Venue is a reclaimed industrial space originally built in the 1880s. We first fell in love with the Venue when we married here ourselves, celebrating with our family and friends in 2003. In 2016 we became the proud owners of The Venue, which is set within Bowers Mill a former woolen mill. We have restored the space giving a nod to it’s original Yorkshire mill heritage. There are wonderful original features that we have kept within The Venue, including the original floor in the Spinning room.

Travel Notes
Leave the M62 at Junction 24, at the roundabout take the 2nd exit (A629). Follow the road until you come to a set of traffic lights, turn left and at the mini roundabout take the first exit following signs for Stainland Road B6114. At the 2nd set of traffic lights turn right onto Saddleworth Road (B6114), after 1.3 miles turn left onto Branch Road,
after 0.5 miles turn left into Bowers Mill.
