We are licensed for civil ceremonies, partnerships, blessings and renewals of vows within the exclusive use of our function room, private bar and outside terrace. Our summer package includes your ceremony here with us at The Fleece! So all you have to do is book your ceremony time with Calderdale Council. We can hold your ceremony here at The Fleece for up to 110 guests! Looking for a more traditional ceremony? No problem, there are 3 different parish churches only a few miles away in Ripponden. We will be here ready to greet you and your guests with Prosecco and mouth watering Canapés. Wine and Dine as the new Mr and Mrs Our Executive Chef with over 30 years of experience working in Rosette and Michelin standard kitchens across the UK and Europe has lovingly designed and prepared our wedding menu. From our warming roasts in the Winter months to our mouth watering dishes in Summer, each dish is specifically designed to cater for your wedding season. Ahead of your big day you will be invited to try our dishes and wine to find the perfect combination for your special day! Let the Party Commence! Absolutely fabulous!

I found The Fleece Countryside Inn on here & after visiting we both fell in love with it. Carrie-Ann put us both at ease & no query was too ‘silly’. We both love music so wanted a festival theme & they were so accommodating to our ideas. There are so many different stunning areas to get good photographs throughout the pub, the scenery is gorgeous. We got married in May & were very lucky with the weather, the sunset looked stunning. Our guests complimented the canapés & wedding breakfast & I can agree the food was delicious. I 1000% recommend & love going for meals there at the pub.

We got married here & loved every minute of it. Carrie-Anne and all the team are exceptional at what they do. Just one visit was enough for us to book this venue and we are so pleased did. They were on hand with any emails/questions we had- even when I felt I was asking silly questions I was always made to feel that nothing was ever too much trouble. Wow! What an amazing place to get married, and a wonderful team they are up at The Fleece. Our day on 29/07/2023 was amazing! Carrie-Anne, Laura and the team went above and beyond to ensure that our day went smoothly, and we could switch off and enjoy the the day. In the planning stages, nothing was too much for Carrie-Anne and Laura. The location, there aren't enough stars I can give, those views!!! We cannot recommend The Fleece highly enough. We held a wedding celebration event there. What a fantastic experience. Carrie-Anne and her team really made everything extra special. The whole process was very easy and so stress free. The co-ordination was fantastic. We never felt that anything was too much trouble. The venue itself is set in breathtaking scenery. The food was fantastic. The accommodation brilliant. The service outstanding. We cannot recommend The Fleece as a venue highly enough.

The most amazing day of our lives

The Fleece is the most perfect wedding venue and we could not recommend enough! It's a personal place for me and my Husband who always knew we wanted to get married here! The venue itself is stunning with a gorgeous outside area overlooking a stunning view and a private bar just for the guests of the wedding. We had THE MOST PERFECT DAY! Everything went smoothly, no hiccups and that is a testiment to all the hardworking staff, a special thanks to Carrie-Anne and the team for all the hard work on the lead up to the wedding and an extra big thankyou to Lucy who was so attentive all day keeping us calm, letting us know the next steps and keeping our glasses filled! She was amazing! We have had gorgeous feedback from all our guests about how lovely the venue is and how smooth everything was, also how beautiful the food was throughout the day! It honestly was the best day of our lives and the only regret is that we can't do it all again! Thanks again🤍

The best day of our lives

We got married at The Fleece back in August 2023 and we couldn't say a single fault. This was our only venue we went to view in person and we booked our date on the day. From that open day, to our first meeting, to the menu tasting and until the big day, everything ran so smooth. We couldnt reconmend the fleece enough, the food was amazing, the plan of the day waa perfect and the views and weather were just an added bonus. It won't be the last time Carrie and the team will see us, as it's also become one of "our places" for date nights ❤️

Beautiful views, very organised staff, a very special day

The wedding planners at the fleece inn were extremely kind and very organised. Everything went to time and plan. The staff were very friendly and made our day feel very special. Extra requests were not an issue, every question we asked the fleece inn had a solution or idea. The view at the back of the venue really blew us away and made our day so special. The food was delicious and catered well for all dietary requirements. The bridal suite and breakfast the next day was spot on, we had the whole of one side of the restaurant to ourselves. Highly recommended this place to get married! The value for money is spectacular, we had our wedding in peak summer time with 80 day guests and 120 evening guests for the price of £6500 including food.

Get a wedding planner book! There are some amazing ones on the market with tips, timelines and every list you could possibly need! They are ideal for the less organised couple to help make the process easier, plus oh so satisfying for the highly organised couples that love a good expense sheet!

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

We absolutely loved Summer and Ashley's Table names, they were places they had been together displayed with a picture of them in location! Then people had to find their seat by looking at a map of the world!
