What can I say from the first email all way to the end of the wedding I cant fault the black horse. lydia and team was amazing nothing was too big or small and made our day amazing. The food was well presented and yummy. We got perfect weather to enjoy the private courtyard.The rooms was nice,cosy and spacious. Was truly an amazing day thank you so much

Just to say a massive thank you to Lydia and all of her lovely team for arranging our wedding yesterday. From the very start of the arrangements you have been absolutely brilliant. We all had a truly lovely day all of our family thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was delicious and we loved staying at your fabulous venue. Thank you from Karen and Steve we will be back very soon xx

We got married at the Black horse inn on Easter Sunday and we had the most beautiful day!! I cannot recommend this place enough, we've been for meals a few times before and booked the wedding at one of the open days. Lydia, who coordinates the weddings, was fantastic from the get go. Nothing was too much to ask, we changed our minds on several things several times and she always made us feel like it was as important to her that we had a perfect day as it was to us! The rooms are lovely and clean, the beds are comfortable. The food is always amazing!! Everyone who came to our wedding said how lovely the place was, we all had the best day ever!! Thank you xxx

Where do I begin!! Our wedding started by staying over the night before.. The room was amazing and so was the food... Cooked to perfection. Great service by the staff. Our wedding day ran soo smooth..Lydia was a great asset to our day going so well. The Venue was amazing and Lydia and her staff made sure our room was decorated just how we wanted. Thank you ever so much xx Overall our experience was amazing all our guests made had amazing comment. If we could do it all again we would.

We got married at the Black Horse on Friday 6th May 2022 and had the most amazing day. We stayed over the night before and had a lovely meal and I got ready in our room (Epernay) in the morning. Lydia was brilliant in organising everything (even bobbing up to see if I would like a much needed pre wedding G & T!) and sending the registrars up and then taking me downstairs with my dad and son. The room was dressed beautifully and the ceremony was lovely. We had some lovely photographs in the Courtyard and everyone enjoyed the day so much with several guests saying it was the nicest wedding they had been to. It was relaxed and jolly and the food was fantastic with excellent service from the staff. After speeches, we moved to the blue quiet room whilst the room was turned round for the evening. This room was lovely and contemporary and our evening guests started to arrive. We had really nice bacon and sausage sandwiches for supper and apparently our family and friends kept the bar very busy with the beer and wine flowing until close ha ha. The rooms were quaint and spotless and the Epernay room was a really special room. We had a lovely breakfast in the morning before sadly departing. I am so glad we chose the Black Horse as it was totally stress free with everything done for you and special thanks to the hard working staff and Lydia, Jane and Andrew for their kind welcome. Had the pleasure of attending a wedding here and stayed for two nights; the room was wonderful with an amazing bathroom and large shower. All the staff were very helpful professional and nothing was too much trouble. They changed the venue too, form wedding seating; to meal seating; to evening seating with very little effort or should I say they make it look effortless. No-one stressed at all about anything and they also catered for two Vegans without making big deal out of it. I really can't praise the place and staff enough and would like to take this opportunity to thank them very much.

We got married in July 2022 at the Black Horse Inn, Clifton. The venue is beautiful with great character and the outdoor courtyard was simply amazing. The wedding day itself ran so smoothly from start to finish, I had not reason to stress at all, we had a small do and this venue was perfect for it. The wedding breakfast was absolutely gorgeous, we had a chef attend our day do and he couldn’t praise the food enough, he said the Lamb was cooked to perfection. The bedrooms were gorgeous and beautifully decorated, what more could you want. The packages they offer are great value and we are so pleased we chose the black horse, the DJ kept everyone up dancing and made the evening extra special. Lydia and her team were great, so organised and helped make our big day one to remember. Overall our experience was amazing and our guests have said the same.

We got hitched in June 2022 at the Black Horse Inn, Clifton. This venue is a must for anyone who is having a small to mid scale wedding (we had 64 day guests, 85 night guests), the venue is simply amazing, steeped in history and a wonderful layout for your fabulous day, The bedrooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable, from the bridal suite to the small single bedrooms (and all the others in between). The food was delicious, we ate at the BHI a few times before our big day and always had good quality, tasty food and we knew we would be in good hands for our wedding breakfast. Lydia the Black Horse Inn Wedding Planner was absolutely fabulous right from the word go, warm, friendly and incredibly organised, always prepared to go the extra mile and extremely proactive. Lydia was happy to answer the bombardment of email queries that we sent her and always responded quickly. On the day itself Lydia and her team were superb, everything ran so smoothly and we weren't even aware that they were their guiding us and making sure that everything went to plan. We cant praise the Black Horse Inn & Lydia highly enough and recommend it as a wedding venue wholeheartedly, many of our guests messaged us after the event saying what an amazing day it had been and so many said it was the best wedding they have ever been to........ in fact it was the best wedding that we have ever been to, but then we are biased! Only praise for the Black Horse Inn and wedding planner Lydia whom we met with 18 months before our wedding. We knew it was the ideal venue for us; gorgeous setting with beautifully decorated boutique style bedrooms and perfect for our intimate ceremony of 30 day and 60 evening guests. Lydia was very responsive to my emails and answered all queries quickly. The hotel can cater for vegan and gluten free diets alongside the standard menu. I also went to their wedding fayre to see examples of table decorations and set ups and opted for a large rectangle so everyone could see each other. We provided our own table decorations, mocked up a setting at home, took photos and sent them to the venue so they could see how the tables were to be set on the day and they were absolutely perfect. Everything went to plan and we had the best day ever

Lydia and her staff were fantastic all our guest commented on how wonderful the day was and how helpful people were. the rooms are done to a outstanding standard and the venue is perfect for a small wedding. food was outstanding and attention to detail was perfect, the DJ was a fab choice he played a verity of songs to suit all tastes, allergies were taken care of also , kids loved the courtyard couldn't have asked for a more perfect day.
