Description
The Masons Arms Hotel is largely of the 18th century, but possibly with earlier origins in the late 17th century, and is recorded as being well established by 1715. The hotel was original called the Bricklayers Arms, but had to change its name to the Masons Arms by at least 1794, after it has become the meeting place for the local Freemasons.
Located in the centre of Louth, the capital of the Wolds, we have 2 beautiful spaces to host your wedding. Each room is decorated differently within our Grade II listed building.
Our Habits Lounge is a modern room, decorated in a very sleek style. It has a front facing balcony & makes the perfect room for a small, intimate wedding & we are also able to host civil ceremonies in this room.
Our Ballroom has tasteful decor with neutral colours. It has its own private bar, ceiling fans, large windows & surround sound music system. Seating up to 70 guests & 100 guests for the evening.
All of our packages include room hire, Wedding co-ordinator/Master of ceremonies, cake stand & knife, a bedroom with breakfast, white table linen & napkins & the DJ.
We are happy to discuss your requirements over a coffee to tailor make your big day, should any of the packages not be suitable.
Bronze package - 40 day guests, 60 evening guests. This includes a 1 choice 3 course wedding breakfast, 1 glass of wine with the meal, 1 glass prosecco for the toast & 5 item finger buffet or hot bacon & sausage buns for your evening reception.
Silver package - 60 day guests, 80 evening guests. This includes a 2 choice 3 course wedding breakfast, 1 glass prosecco on arrival, 2 glasses of wine with the meal, 1 glass prosecco for the toast & 7 item finger buffet or curry buffet for your evening reception.
Gold Package - 60 day guests, 80 evening guests. This includes a 3 choice 3 course wedding breakfast, 1 glass champagne on arrival, 2 glasses of wine with the meal, 1 glass champagne for the toast & 9 item finger buffet or hot roast meat buffet for your evening reception.
We have 10 x ensuite rooms within our venue from classic to deluxe or Kingsize rooms (these rooms can be double or twin rooms). All rooms are accessed via stiarcases as there is no lift to all floors.

I had my 60th birthday party here for 50 guests with bar, buffet and dancing. I booked both the ballroom and Habits Lounge Bar as I wanted to have the buffet in a separate room and also have the lounge free for people to use for chatting if they wanted a space away from the dancing. I planned it all with Alan the manager beforehand to make sure it would work smoothly. Everyone liked the venue, the food and had a great time overall. With only 13 guests, the room was perfectly sized for our needs & the decor, along with the gorgeous picture windows, leant itself beautifully for our photographs. The staff were attentive & nothing was too much trouble. Our meals were delicious, accommodating specific dietary requirements, & unusually for a large group, all arrived together. Looking for a private venue for a small gathering/meal? We cannot We recently got married & held our small wedding reception upstairs at the Masons Arms.
