My wedding at Harlaxton Manor was a day I’ll never forget. Not only because of the stunning venue and gardens but also because of the team that put so much effort into making the day seamless and perfect.
In particular Abbie and Tom, who were so accommodating, friendly, kind and just made me feel so comfortable and at ease. I was so nervous on the morning but Abbie made me feel so nice, even giving me a little pep talk before my walk down the aisle which was so needed and helpful.
I had so many guests comment on how lovely the staff were, including a friend who was breastfeeding and was asked multiple times if she was ok, the baby was warm enough and whether she needed anything.
Another thing that stood out to everyone was the catering. The food was AMAZING. The portion sizes were so generous and not to mention just so delicious. It’s 2 weeks today since the wedding and I’m still getting comments on how lovely the food was. We had canopes which all went and we thought we may have over ordered, so that was lovely.
Every bride wants her day to run smoothly, and when we faced a hiccup of a missing table number, Abbie very kindly took an existing one and created a replacement on the morning of the wedding. She was just so lovely and did everything she could to help. I can’t speak more highly of Abbie.
Also a mention for Tom, who is an absolute credit to Harlaxton Manor. Cannot fault them in any way.
The catering staff were also lovely. I was a bit dissapointed with one thing though, and that was a few overheard comments from what I believe was the manager of the catering staff. She was quite rude to her staff and very regimented, a bit too much and I heard a comment that didn’t sit very easily with me. I didn’t address that on the day but I regret that and I felt I should have as it was clear the young girl was quite upset, and quite rightly so. I do believe the catering staff are outsourced but I’ll pass my feedback onto Harlaxton regarding this. I feel bad writing anything negative because it was such a great day but I do think it was a bit unnecessary and I felt quite bad about it :(
The evening and transition ran so smoothly and it was clear that the professionalism of the team is to such a high standard. Honestly the day was everything and more, and I recommend this venue to anyone that is considering having their wedding at Harlaxton Manor. The staff cannot be more helpful (as mentioned before particularly Abbey and Tom) , they made me so comfortable and I couldn’t have asked for anything else from them.
Truly and unforgettable day!
