Describe the best wedding that happened at The Box Tree Restaurant ?
On the 30th December we held a beautiful intimate wedding for a fantastic young couple. With a small number of guests the bride and groom were able to spend real quality time with each of their guests. The atmosphere throughout the ceremony and wedding breakfast was so relaxed and everyone had a truly special day
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Trust the professionals, as fun as DIY weddings are on some elements, and can really personalise your wedding, make sure don't take on too much. Time is so precious on your big day, you don't want the stress of organising little details to take away from the enjoyment of your day.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
The personal touches are what really brings magic to the day and makes each wedding unique in their own way. One that springs to mind is when each guest were asked to find their seat by looking for the picture of themselves with the bride and groom instead of a simple name card. This sparked up lots of lovely conversations about happy memories with the couple from when the photos were taken.

Where’s the best photo spot at The Box Tree Restaurant ?
We always see beautiful shots of our couples when they are signing the register, in particular in one of our ceremony rooms that allows the couple to be married in front of the window. This is such a lovely moment as the very first photo they will have as a married couple.
What’s your favourite canapé?
Of course all our canapés are exquisit and delicious! But our personal favourite would have to be the Salmon Ballotine with Crème Fraiche and Ebena Caviar, the bright colours of the fish with green herbs and decadence of the added caviar makes this canapé visually stunning as well as tasting amazing.
What is The Box Tree Restaurant most unique feature?
As a listed building dating back to the 1720's the unique feel of the Box Tree largely comes from the history and heritage within the building itself. The building has been beautifully restored and kept to an impeccable standard of luxury with many original features and pieces of furniture on show.
