Within the Castle grounds we are able to offer couples a choice of ceremonies and we will be pleased to take the time to discuss all of the available options. St Mary’s Chapel, dating from the 15th Century, sits within the heart of the gardens and is the resting place of Katherine Parr, the last wife of King Henry VIII. The beautiful building has the most wonderful uplifting atmosphere and couples are able to have their blessing ceremony with around 140 happy guests. We also have the Library - This small, private library is a treasure trove of fine art and priceless antiques and offers a perfect location for intimate civil ceremonies from between 2 and 50 guests. We are also able to host outdoor ceremonies with the castle, gardens and ruins as your back drop. Wedding breakfast Within the Castle and grounds we are able to provide spacious dining and celebration areas with our new glass Orangery for up to 150 people. The historic Castle Coach House is then the perfect spot to dance the night away. For larger parties from 150 to 600, marquees can be positioned on our North Lawn, having its own stunning backdrop of the most photogenic castle and tithe barn ruins which can ‘wow’ your guests.

We offer an 'almost dry hire' experience. You have the use of our stunning gardens and grounds, Orangery for dining with rustic trestle tables and oak cross-back chairs, The Castle Coach House for dancing (you can use the spaces how you wish but this is our favourite combo) and the Chapel for your ceremony if you wish to. We do not charge corkage, so you are welcome to provide all your own drinks, including delicious cocktails. There is also extensive free parking.

A dream come true!

Sudeley Castle is breathtaking and it’s magnificent scenery is only boosted by Annie the events coordinator who went above and beyond into making our day run as smoothly as possible! Not only is the setting absolutely breathtaking, it’s vast size allowed us ample room to be able to take a whole range of photos with our friends and family on our special day. We were so soaked up in the moment that we wish we had time to take more!

Wow. Simply wow! What a venue! Nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds is the most magical and spectacular wedding venue you could ever imagine. I have always dreamt of having the perfect wedding day and getting married in this spectacular venue sure lives up to it. Annie, the wedding co ordinator was simply amazing, she took away ever single stress or worry that I had and took it on as her own. She simply is the best asset to Sudeley! The castle will always hold a special place in my heart. It truly is the most wonderful and spectacular venue ❤️

The most beautiful venue

Sudeley Castle was the most perfect venue. We had a blessing in the Chapel and had our wedding breakfast in the Banqueting Hall following drinks in the Rose Gardens. All our guests said how beautiful the venue was and we could not have had a more beautiful venue.

Thank you for everything!!!

We honestly had the best day of our entire lives. It was everything we dreamed of and more. Everyone has been flooding us with messages saying what an utter blast they had too. Sudeley was just the best venue. The buildings and grounds are beautiful and breathtaking. I wanted our guests to continually be surprised throughout the day with different locations for different wedding elements, taking them on a journey. Sudeley really facilitated that and gave our guests a really magical experience.

I’m still daydreaming of how wonderful a wedding

The setting of my magical wedding. One of the best days of my life. Professional staff helped work with my planner to ensure a magical day. It’s worth visiting in regular time too. Only place on private property where a queen is buried in England. The gardens are spectacular and a real treat to visit. I’m still daydreaming of how wonderful a wedding I had there!

Sarah was very efficient and exacting in her approach with a lovely air of enjoyment and enthusiasm for her role.
