Clearwell Castle Wedding Venue

Ann was our wedding coordinator and she honestly was the best ! She made sure everything ran smooth , everyone was where they should be leaving us to enjoy and relax on our big day. And wow such beautiful views we had!!

We would both just like a say a big thank you to Phaedra, our Personal Wedding Manager for all her organising and planning for our wedding day and ensuring everything ran smoothly, we both really appreciate it. We had an amazing day.

We cannot speak highly enough about Clearwell Castle as a wedding venue. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. Our Personal Wedding Manager, Phaedra, was absolutely incredible, both before and during the wedding. Our day was incredibly special.

The standard of our wedding was everything we could have ever hoped for! We just wish we could do it all again, and we are already super excited to return for our Anniversary next year! We got engaged back in September 2021, and after visiting Clearwell Castle, knew immediately that this was the place where we wanted to get married. With its stunning castle grounds, dramatic architecture and picturesque countryside, we felt like we were stepping into a fairy tale. Everyone who works at Clearwell Castle are so friendly, helpful and welcoming; going above and beyond to meet our needs and expectations. From our first visit up until the big day itself, all of the staff took the stress out of planning the wedding, always giving us peace of mind and answering our questions quickly. They were incredibly accommodating and made it so easy for us to arrange additional visits throughout the year to see the venue, and even allowed us to test the sound system and other services before the big day. We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone at Clearwell Castle, especially Lottie, Simon, Ann and Hannah for making our wedding the best day ever. In our first visits, we were met by Lottie, who showed us the grounds and guided us through the process and recommended suppliers. We then met our wedding co-ordinator Simon, who was incredible and even went out of his way to organise video calls with us because we lived far away. Simon gave us some brilliant ideas on how we can make our wedding day even more special, and gave us confidence in our own ideas too. He also clarified the day’s itinerary so we were able to inform our suppliers and wedding party early in the process. Simon was even available during weekends and evenings to answer all of our questions, and always found time for us. On the wedding day, both Hannah and Ann worked so hard to make sure everything ran smoothly, from helping set up and organise our suppliers and centrepieces, to welcoming the wedding guests and making everyone feel relaxed (including ourselves!). Many of our guests provided amazing feedback about the staff. Despite us needing to make last minute changes to the guest lists, Ann and Hannah were so helpful in being prepared for this and made everything on the day look effortless (even though we know so much hard work went on behind the scenes). They decorated the tables using our own homemade centrepieces and they made it look so much more amazing than what we first envisioned. The food was delicious, the portions were extremely generous for both the wedding breakfast and evening buffet. Hannah even helped keep the evening entertainment and cellar venue a surprise for our guests. We’re so pleased we chose our wedding to be at Clearwell Castle. We cannot fault them in any way and they are worth every penny. The venue is absolutely incredible and the staff even more so!

Our wedding at Clearwell Castle went so smoothly and every detail was perfect! We were blown away by the amount of effort that all the staff put in, making sure that the smallest of requested details was correct. We visited several times in the run up to our wedding and spoke to the team at the Castle frequently, which made it a lot easier to plan and a lot more fun! Our personal wedding manager, Lottie, was amazing. It made me feel so much more confident to know that she was there to keep everything running correctly - and she did an amazing job! The day unfolded so seamlessly, with no stresses or input from us, so we relaxed and enjoyed the day. The food was lovely, can't speak highly enough of that. The downstairs bar and dance floor for the evening do is great, and it's really nice to have a few separate rooms for people who find the disco a bit overwhelming. Good to have the food away from the dance floor in the evening as well! All in all, a simply beautiful day and a wonderful experience. Couldn't recommend more highly!

From the moment we visited Clearwell Castle we knew it was where we wanted to get married. It had everything we could ask for, and more, and nowhere else had ticked every box. Even the drive to the venue was picturesque. The staff were friendly and helpful in the run up to the wedding and when we took family to open days. Ann, our wedding planner, couldn't have been more accommodating, nothing was too much trouble and I completely trusted the day would run smoothly with her leading it. The day was a whirlwind of magic; everything went smoothly, every detail attended to. A truly unforgettable day from the atmosphere, the food which was outstanding and I can not say enough about the team at Clearwell Castle. We wouldn't have changed a thing. All the guests were blown away by what a stunning area and impressive venue and grounds it was and how it was the perfect day and such an amazing venue. We're still talking about it now and will be for a very long time! As we start our life as husband and wife we will be sure to return on dinner dates you run throughout the year.
