Vlad had everything under control and everything ran so smoothly. The room was perfect for 120 plus guests. I noted on previous recent reviews disappointment in the rooms. Ours was lovely,clean very comfortable bed. My niece had a jacuzzi in her room which was fab. Our quests all praised the hotel and staff and to finish it off we had a lovely breakfast. - AAndrew27/10/2020Amazing Place, highly recommendedAmazing Place, highly recommendedMe and my wife had our wedding back in December 2017 at Kilhey Court and would firstly like to say it was a great experience and everything about the wedding went so smoothly on the day, this I feel no part helped with the smooth transition in arrangements made between ourselves and our wedding co-ordinator at the time. Not just that on the day of the wedding when my wife was up early there was someone around to make her a coffee in the main reception and took the time to talk to her, making her nerves go away. I would recommend your venue to hold a wedding to anyone who asked. Within our package was a anniversary meal which we should have had in December, but due to us having a baby in August we asked if we would could postpone this for later in the year, which we were told would not be a problem. We were very grateful for this as you can appreciate. We then asked if we could change this to coming at lunch rather than evening meal to help us out with the baby and again was told this wasn't a problem. The fact that before we had already come for our meal you were letting us make these changes I felt that the service we were receiving was fantastic. We arrange to come this Sunday for our meal and from start to finished we were made to feel so welcome we couldn't have asked for a better meal. From the staff on entering the premises to leaving we were looked after and helped with anything we needed. The staff were also so friendly with my 5 month old baby girl, we have been other places and they have in now way shown the compassion of having such a young baby as what your staff did when she was crying and also to take the time to stop and talk to her even though they had other things to do. The food itself was so delicious, even my baby girl like the mash (was told it was made by Nelson so compliments to him and the rest of the chefs as well). I would hope you pass on my feedback on to the staff in question as they deserve the plaudits for a great wedding and meal. I decided to take my partners mum so I could show her the venue. I didn’t know what to expect for the afternoon tea but WOW. As you can see from the photo loads of cakes which was high quality and home made scones. The sandwiches were lovely and fresh clearly not made and left standing. The staff were so friendly laughing and joking with us, both myself and my mother in law to be were very impressed. Fully recommend booking the afternoon tea at Kilhey court. We ended up taking some cakes home as we were full. My partner and I have recently booked are wedding at this hotel. As a gift we got a afternoon tea voucher. We like to thank Laura who was great at planning everything before the Big Day and dealt with any last minute requests. We would like thank Angus and the rest of the night staff who saw us dancing into the early hours of the morning. We would like to say a special big thank you to Ash our wedding co-ordinator on the day. He had a very relaxed manner and was great at calming my pre-wedding nerves and was very attentive throughout the whole day. He looked after the guests and had everything planned so we didn’t have to worry about anything (If you could pass these comments onto them). The guests really liked the venue. The only issue there was, was those guests staying overnight were unable to check into their rooms until the early afternoon. Some guests would have like to have had their room earlier in the morning to get ready and freshen up. Although they found the rooms comfortable and clean with a breakfast the next day and the of the use of the spa. As a wedding venue Kilhey Court is a beautiful traditional building and gardens. We had stayed there previously for an overnight stay and really liked the standard of the rooms and the building in general which was why we considered it when looking at venues. Compared to other venues we looked at, the package we chose at Kilhey Court was very good value for money especially as we were on a tight budget. There was a lot of flexibility with our package e.g. the choice of having canapes, table decorations etc. so we had a lot of options to choose from to tailer it to what we wanted.
