Colshaw Hall features a beautiful Grade II Hall, the perfect backdrop for photos and allows you to spend the night with your closest family and friends on your wedding day. The house has three reception rooms and seven luxurious en-suite bedrooms. With courtyard cottages and eco pods, the venue can sleep up to 50 on the estate itself. One of the best features of this breathtaking place is a stunning Makeup Lounge, which is an elegant hair and makeup space to share with your wedding party. With a bespoke design and luxuriously appointed, the lounge is one of our couple's favourite spaces. Not to be missed either is The Den! A bespoke space to play table football or table tennis, relax with friends and enjoy drinks before your big ceremony. The Stables Ceremony Barn at Colshaw Hall is a dedicated space for your ceremony. The leaded windows, oak beams and stunning marble flooring provide an elegant setting, with a view of the lake and fountain at the front. Surrounded by immaculate gardens, the Peel Suite is a grand space for an impressive occasion. The Peel Suite has a stylish bar and Pavillion for your drinks reception. From the suite, you can enjoy views across the gorgeous walled garden, which is perfect for wedding photos or a drinks reception on warmer days. When you book at Colshaw Hall, you get a wedding coordinator to help you throughout the day. Many extras are included in the price that other venues may charge for. Our wedding day was simply magical. We enjoyed every second of the day and that was simply because of Colshaw hall staff. They organised themselves perfectly so we didn’t need to worry, no job was too big. They are the friendliest staff and will go above and beyond to make sure you have the most special day. I would love to do the day all over again x 100 and every time I would pick colshaw hall. We will be forever great full for making our day so special

The best day of our lives!

We honestly can’t thank Colshaw Hall enough, from the moment of booking to after our special day they have been nothing short of amazing. They really get to know their couples on a personal level and nothing was ever too much trouble no matter who you spoke to. The day ran like an absolute dream and was so organised which made myself and Joe feel at such ease, even the guests commented on how organised the day was and said it was the best wedding they have ever been too. Every single member of staff is a credit to this wedding venue, no matter who we dealt with we were just greeted with such warmth and kindness. If we were to do the day again we honestly wouldn’t have changed a thing and would have booked yourselves in a heartbeat. The morning after the wedding whilst eating breakfast, David came and spoke to us and asked us about the day and we thought this was such a lovely touch (despite how hungover we both was haha). Thank you Colshaw for giving us the best wedding day we could have dreamed of x

Best day ever

Colshaw were amazing from First booking to the actually day itself! Everything couldn’t have gone any better and the staff were a massive part of that! Dream wedding venue

We had our wedding at Colshaw Hall on the 27th of October and we couldn’t recommend the venue or the staff that work there more. The venue is beautiful with everything you need for a wedding in one place, the staff are equally incredible and will do anything to make sure your day goes the way you want, from the ladies who help you on the day, to the toast master, to everyone else in the back ground. It was such a lovely environment and such caring people. From a very disorganised bride I was never judge for not having things ready and they were always helpful to make sure the day ran perfectly. We couldn’t have asked for a better day.

The BEST day!

The staff are approachable and professional - we never felt silly asking questions or making requests. If you’ve never been married before it’s quite overwhelming and I felt in safe hands throughout. Every single element of a wedding day has been thought about by the Colshaw team. Each of the suppliers recommended by the team were also exceptional. We had the BEST day of our lives, honestly would not change a thing. Whats more, our photos within the grounds are stunning. We couldn’t be happier. If you are thinking of getting married and Coshaw is one of the options, just forget the others and do Colshaw. You won’t regret it.

Dream day made reality

The BEST venue! from all the planning to the big day, everyone at Colshaw halls goes above and beyond, the venue is perfect the grounds are beautiful and make for the perfect pictures. Every member of staff we can’t thank enough from our first viewing to the dream day they are with you for everything. A big thank you to Sarah who was a dream on the day with helping button my dress a tie my shoes, and Ian our toastmaster helping calm my now husbands nerves. We can’t thank everyone enough for going above and beyond for not only us by all of our family and friends. Our favourite day ever!

Colshaw Hall made us feel at ease from the moment we walked through the door during an open day. Throughout the process, the team were incredibly supportive, flexible and had the ability to put any worries to rest! Contacting them was straightforward and the team communicate well with one another, meaning that everyone was up to date when we next called with a question. On the day, there were no hiccups and that’s all down to the team at Colshaw! Every wedding is special at Colshaw Hall. There are some weddings that have had stories behind them that will stay with us forever but we treat every wedding as a unique experience so choosing the best one is simply not possible!

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Speak to your venue as soon as you've booked. We know what works at the venue and what doesn't and our team will be here to give you full support. Think about what's important to you and let go of the stuff that's not really important. Consider other months aside from summer - a winter or autumnal wedding is equally special and often costs less too.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Flowers were once used dried as confetti from a garden of a family member that couldn't be at the wedding. There wasn't a dry eye in the house!

Where’s the best photo spot at Colshaw Hall?

There are so many! That's one of the reasons our couples choose us - The Magnolia Garden, The Japanese Garden, Top of the Stairs in the Hall, on the bridge in front of the lake and fountain. We can't choose a favourite!

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at Colshaw Hall?

We've had many - including cyclist Sir Chris Hoy, Mark Cavendish (multiple) winner of Tour de France. Many of the Coronation Street Cast including Cath Tyldesley who tied the knot here, Love Islanders and premier league footballers. We are an exclusive estate and we are able to provide privacy and confidentiality for those that need it.

What’s your favourite canapé?

Risotto Balls or Spring Rolls - every time. Although every canape Barrett's Event Caterers create is very special!

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

We get to sample lots of left over wedding cake - this tends to be sampled at the end of a wedding so we will go with that!

What is Colshaw Hall most unique feature?

Possible our luxurious Makeup Lounge which is a dedicated room for getting ready or The Den where the Groomsmen can play table football, enjoy a beer or kick back and relax before the ceremony. Or the fact you can tie the knot, celebrate, party and stay the night all in one location.
