Colshaw Hall is a family-owned venue which has fast become one of the most sought-after venues in Cheshire and indeed the North West. Before your ceremony, we have The Den - a new addition to the venue for 2021 where the Groom and Groomsmen can relax before the ceremony and The Makeup Lounge provides a luxurious area for brides to have the finishing touches applied to be aisle-ready! Hold your dream ceremony, surrounded by friends and family in The Stables Ceremony Room, which is licensed for civil ceremonies. As your choice of music plays, you and your loved one can say your vows in the beautiful room, complete with limestone floors and oak beams with views over the small lake and fountain. Alternatively you can tie the knot outside in the amazing grounds for a truly romantic event. This wedding venue offers you complete choice for your big day and, unlike other venues, the whole venue will be exclusively yours throughout the day. Your drinks reception may be held in the beautiful courtyard gardens - there are 300 acres of private countryside, gardens and parkland to enjoy. Your wedding breakfast and evening party is held in the Peel Suite which is a jaw-dropping, contemporary space. When you celebrations are complete, you may stay in the hall itself with its seven luxury bedrooms and guests may choose from further courtyard cottages and a selection of luxury lodges on the estate itself. The next day your family and friends will be served a delicious breakfast before you leave as a married couple! Beautiful venue and the staff are so helpful!
We got married here on 29/10/22. The venue is so beautiful and the staff were so so helpful on the day itself, special shout out to Sarah who held our final meeting and made sure everything on the day was perfect and also Ian the toastmaster who kept things running to schedule. The Barrett’s team were also amazing with the food and drink being spot on, and impeccable service. Highly recommend using Andy Murphy as the DJ he kept the dance floor packed from 7.30 until close! Thank you again for the most amazing day xxx

Everything was absolutely perfect.
My son and daughter in law got married on 1st October. Everything was absolutely perfect. The venue was stunning. Food was beautiful. Staff were unbelievably helpful… especially Ian…. They gave us our dream wedding!
We got married on 28th July 2022 and everything about our day was perfect! Colshaw Hall was the first venue we viewed and from the second we turned onto the driveway we knew it was where we wanted to get married. Blown away with our Colshaw experience!
We have been blown away with our Colshaw experience! From our initial show around to our wedding day everything has been so special and fun! Nothing has been too much trouble and the team ensured we had a relaxing stress free day! The venue is stunning as are the cottages and lodges. We would 100% recommend booking all the accommodation so that friends and family can make the most of the estate. We stayed in the lodge the night before and it was so special waking up and getting ready in the beautiful surroundings! The whole experience has been faultless and we have so many happy memories already ♥️

The most perfect day at the best venue!
We got married here 23rd April 2022. Oh my gosh what a day the most perfect day what the best venue with the best time! Tracy and Emma did everything and more for us nothing was too big or small! From helping unpack to hunting the entire building for a missing pocket square! Tracy even got some pictures on my phone which was nice to look at the day after! The venue is so beautiful and grand and creates amazing photos! Can’t thank the team enough for the most memorable day! Love Mr and Mrs Savvides.

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

Every wedding is special at Colshaw Hall. There are some weddings that have had stories behind them that will stay with us forever but we treat every wedding as a unique experience so choosing the best one is simply not possible!

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Speak to your venue as soon as you've booked. We know what works at the venue and what doesn't and our in house Finishing Touches and Styling Team will be here to give you full support. Think about what's important to you and let go of the stuff that's not really important. Consider other months aside from summer - a winter or autumnal wedding is equally special and often costs less too.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Flowers were once used dried as confetti from a garden of a family member that couldn't be at the wedding. There wasn't a dry eye in the house!

Luxurious, unique, breathtaking, unbeatable, memorable

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?

There are so many! That's one of the reasons our couples choose us - The Magnolia Garden, The Japanese Garden, Top of the Stairs in the Hall, on the bridge in front of the lake and fountain. We can't choose a favourite!

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?

We've had many - including cyclist Sir Chris Hoy, Mark Cavendish (multiple) winner of Tour de France. Many of the Coronation Street Cast including Cath Tyldesley who tied the knot here, Love Islanders and premier league footballers. We are an exclusive estate and we are able to provide privacy and confidentiality for those that need it.

What’s your favourite canapé?

Risotto Balls or Spring Rolls - every time. Although every canape Barrett's Event Caterers create is very special!

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

We get to sample lots of left over wedding cake - this tends to be sampled at the end of a wedding so we will go with that!

What is your venue's most unique feature?

Possible our luxurious Makeup Lounge which is a dedicated room for getting ready or The Den where the Groomsmen can play table football, enjoy a beer or kick back and relax before the ceremony. Or the fact you can tie the knot, celebrate, party and stay the night all in one location.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

Our couples. Their reviews and feedback in phenomenal and we wouldn't be here without them.
