I stayed in Bulrush Barn which was beautiful & fully equipped to a high standard. Olivia was the perfect host, she went above & beyond to ensure we all had a great weekend with such attention to detail & Chris’s food was delicious. The whole setting was gorgeous, waking up to peacocks & ducks in the yard, highland cows in the field and birds singing. Memories and friends (and furry friends) were made. Where is Lower Marsh Farm?
Set on the Cornish bank of the River Tamar which forms the border with Devon, tucked away on the outskirts of the pretty village of Landulph benefiting from the secluded feel of being a million miles from City life but with the convenience of being striking distance of modern amenities.
The ‘what3words’ location is outdoors.test.saturate. and we are 10 minutes from the A38 between Saltash and Callington.
Where can we get married?
You can marry in a number of locations here, inside or out – or at the gorgeous Landulph Church which is at the end of the drive, a (very) short walk or even a horse-drawn carriage ride away.
At the farm, you can choose a pool side ceremony, the woodland setting which is stunning in May with bluebells and wild garlic, a Tipi or marquee set somewhere within the grounds, riverside, courtyards, meadows, gardens, in an atmospheric yurt cabin, or even a Well House 'chapel' - or somewhere we haven't even thought about!
How many guests can stay at Lower Marsh Farm?
Around 20 guests can stay here in 10 bedrooms - we can offer single level (ground floor) accommodation, to glamping options. During your stay, you can benefit from our amenities which include hot tubs, outdoor swimming pool (during warmer months), tennis court and extensive grounds to explore.
Can we hire Lower Marsh Farm for our exclusive use?
Yes, absolutely. At least 1 team member will be on-site throughout your stay to help ensure things run smoothly and answer any questions.
How long have we been hosting weddings?
We have owned Lower Marsh Farm for over a decade and during that time hosted several thousand self-catering holiday guests and over a hundred well-being retreats (for these we offer both the venue and catering). In the past decade we have received almost exclusively excellent feedback and reviews from guests (anything less than a 5* is very unusual!). During this time we have on occasion been asked by guests if they could hold their wedding receptions at the farm - and have done this for several couples over the years. In early 2026 we applied for and have received a license for wedding ceremonies at the farm. This is all very exciting and we have our first few ceremonies being held this summer.
We are an experienced venue and team with a strong customer-service focus, always willing to go the extra mile for that special request so you can relax knowing that you will be well looked after in this gorgeous venue.
