We chose Losehill House as our winter wedding venue because of the intimate feel, stunning views from the Orangerie and the knowledge that we could hire the whole place for all our family and friends to enjoy - and that they did! We had our wedding on the 19th December 2009 for 100 people. We made a long weekend of it and all our family and friends arrived the night before which gave the whole wedding such a relaxed feel.
From the moment we arrived the food, service, cleanliness and appearance of the hotel was second to none. My bridesmaids and I had the wonderful Winhill suite, my husband the palatial bridal suite. The beauticians did a fantastic natural job with my make-up and various spa treatments. We had a wonderful breakfast served to the suite so no guests would see the bride and it felt so exciting in our own little house! The registra was late by 30 mins because of the large amount of snow around the Peaks so the manager brought champagne to the suite free of charge which was so lovely!
The food was outstanding throughout, people are still talking about the Guinea Fowl and the amaing prawn starter! Plus the buffet was the best buffet anyone has ever seen! The whole place looked absolutely stunning!
Since the weekend ended we have found that people do not stop talking about the amazing venue, the wonderful happy feeling and several have said they felt like they were in a film like 'Love Actually', especially the snow falling just as I walked down the aisle!
I cannot praise this hotel and it's staff enough for making our day not only wonderful for us, but for all our friends and family! Thank you!
