Full Description
Hoath House is unique in many ways not least that the oldest part of the house dates as far back as 1350, its a magnificent example of a traditional Tudor period building with wooden beams to match. The estate boasts a beautiful 6 acres of gardens with panoramic views of the rolling High Weald countryside, perfect settings for a wedding venue. We can offer the sole and exclusive use of our entire venue and gardens, for summer weddings our wedding arch is a licensed fixed structure enabling the whole ceremony to take place outside with more than enough room for tents and gazebos. During the colder months we have the Library or the Drawing room, the Library seats up to 100 guests and offers a more traditional setting with two fire places and a grand piano adding to the ambiance. The Drawing room offers a more intimate setting seating up to 65 guests, with stunning views over the Kent countryside. We also have a selection of rooms for guests to stay as well as a separate cottage in the grounds with two double ensuite rooms. We would really love to meet with you and show you how Hoath House could be the perfect venue for you, so please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Hi Richard, We hope you are keeping well and not too exhausted from all the weddings recently! We just wanted to say a huge thank you for everything throughout our wedding. From the start to the tons of phone calls, throughout the pandemic and leading up to our wedding. You were always so accommodating and helpful which made us feel so relaxed and assured, so we really appreciate it. We had the most incredible time at Hoath House, all of our guests loved it, and we really didn't want to leave. You have such a special venue there and we are so pleased that we found it. We're already planning our next stay at the house with all the family! We've now had our photos back - I have left a couple on a google review which you are welcome to use but I wanted to check if there were any images in particular you wanted and I can send you across the files for your use.And just to say thanks again, Hoath House really was the perfect venue for us and will forever be a really special place. Take care, Amy & Ian

Our wedding venue
This place is extremely beautiful and it had so many rooms !! We booked it for our wedding as we had family coming from outside the UK, so they all have a place to stay. I fell in love with the area and the patio area is so romantic. Due to the pandemic unfortunately we had to cancel the wedding because it was impossible for our families to come to UK. Richard has been nothing but helpful and understanding with the whole situation . I can't recommend this place enough, for everyone that is looking for a manor house. This is definitely the place

The most perfect of fairytale wedding venues
Hoath house is simply stunning, we recently went for my brothers wedding. The house is clean and incredibly well equipped, while not loosing its sense of charm and beautiful historic, traditional values. A large marque was available to us, as well as the swimming pool and tennis courts. The owner is so amenable, and always makes sure whatever you need is sorted. His gorgeous old retriever plods about with him and loves a fuss... this is just the most perfect wedding venue. Thank you Richard for such a beautiful house for my brothers big day.

FAQ

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?

The best wedding was the marriage of Matthew and Manuela. They were on a very restricted budget so they decided to marry inside and then transform the library into their reception space. Luckily for them the weather was kind so on the day of the wedding they decided to take the reception outside. Our caterers bought in and set up the top lawn as a wonderful dining space. But what made the day really special was that as the meal finished one of the children started a game of rounders from our selection of garden games. It turned into a full on Bride vs Groom, England vs Spain rounders international. I have a picture of the father of both Bride and Groom, puffing on large cigars, arms round shoulders, going to watch the game in full flow. It is a picture that tells a thousand words about what a wedding can be.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

have a plan but plans are like Goldilocks you can have too much or too little but what you need is somewhere in the middle.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

Personal touches are what really make a wedding special. They reflect the couple. We try to accommodate as many as possible; from the bluegrass band to the peacock feather lined walls to the pictures of close relatives recently passed. But my favourite by far was a couple who happened to be called Adam and Eve using apples and jelly snakes as place card holders.
