From one couple to another... you cannot go wrong with Hawkstone Hall. As much as we would love to keep this gem to ourselves and pretend we were the only couple lucky enough to get married there, here are 3 reasons you should too: 1. Magical, beautiful, well-kept historical site Hawkstone Hall is simply stunning. From the moment you arrive on the drive, you feel like you've stepped somewhere truly special. Every part of the venue is immaculately maintained, full of character and history, yet still feels warm and welcoming rather than intimidating. Our guests were blown away by the beauty of the Hall, both inside and out, and every corner provided the perfect backdrop for photographs and unforgettable memories. The amenities in the rooms (like the radio playing classical music) were talked about long after our wedding. 2. Hospitality From day one, we were welcomed with warmth, friendliness, and excellent communication. Every visit felt special, and the team always made us feel like our wedding was the most important event happening. The hospitality on the day itself was exceptional. The food was superb and our guests are still talking about it, with the Beef Wellington and truffle risotto receiving particular praise. The bartenders were fantastic too, creating an atmosphere that felt less like a service team and more like people genuinely invested in making sure everyone had an amazing time. Hawkstone Hall strikes the perfect balance between relaxed and formal, creating a luxurious experience that never feels stuffy or pretentious. 3. A "no-limits" team and fully hands-off service on the day Our wedding was excellent, and there is genuinely nothing we would change about the experience Hawkstone Hall provided for us and our guests. The presentation of the venue, the level of service, and the team's absolute commitment to making sure everything ran smoothly were second to none. We dropped off labeled boxes filled with decor and guest interactive elements, and the team set it up exactly as instructed. This is inclusive of soft-play, custom wedding breakfast place settings and a photo montage table display with accompanying mirror. What really sets Hawkstone Hall apart is how they handle the unexpected. On the morning of our wedding, our florist failed to deliver several agreed services and some of the arrangements were not up to the expected standard. Without hesitation, the Hawkstone Hall team stepped in. They reorganised displays, transferred florals between spaces, supplemented arrangements with additional décor, purchased extra flowers, and ensured everything looked beautiful. Jheel, the gem that she is, also made slight tweaks to the timeline that helped ease the issue but did not disrupt the flow of the day. They solved the problem without ever making it our problem--and smiled the whole way. Because of that, we were able to spend the day doing exactly what every couple hopes to do: enjoying each other, our family, and our friends without a single worry. We cannot thank all the staff at Hawkstone Hall enough for the huge amount of effort they put in to making our wedding day so special. From the minute we first viewed Hawkstone Hall, we knew we wanted to get married there and the day turned into everything we dreamed it ever would be and more. The stunning venue speaks for itself, but the staff elevate it to another level. Throughout the planning, all Hawkstone Hall staff were attentive to our needs and always there for us when seeking clarification and advice on how we could best deliver our vision. On the day itself, the staff worked tirelessly to set out everything we had planned for - from the significant number of candles presented along the aisle to all our wedding favours laid out immaculately for our wedding breakfast. A particular shout out to Emma who led the whole day expertly and the evening team who made sure we got our sparklers in despite the weather! We cannot wait to return to Hawkstone Hall over the years to come and would highly recommend the venue to anyone planning on tying the knot. Hawkstone Hall turned our dream wedding into a reality!Hawkstone Hall turned our dream wedding into a reality!
We have visited Hawkstone Hall multiple times since our first viewing for our wedding. Not because there were any issues, or a lot of planning to do, as Hawkstone makes the process so easy. We simply just fell in love with the place from the moment we arrived. In fact, as soon as breakfast was over after our first night we signed our contract. We only live an hour and a half away, but every time we visit we always book a room for the evening and a meal at The Saloon. On every occasion, the food has been amazing, and we have worked our way through the sizeable cocktail list. Visiting is always a pleasure as it is such a relaxing experience. I honestly believe that no other wedding venue could have satisfied our needs better, or made us as happy as we were on our wedding day. As you can see from the photos I couldn’t have smiled more if I had tried! Everything was absolutely perfect from the moment all of our guests arrived at midday on the Tuesday until they departed on Thursday afternoon. For Hawkstone to maintain such an exceptional standard throughout was no mean feat. I could attribute this to the beautiful building with all of its grandeur, the extensive gardens with its stunning photo locations, or even the delicious food that was plentiful. However, none of this comes close to the wonderful staff who all worked so hard to ensure we would have the best few days of our lives, and we did! I really need to mention the following staff members who went above and beyond. Holly our wedding co-ordinator was absolutely fantastic. She is such a lovely lady with a calming nature, which is exactly what I needed being the nervous bride I was. She was like my shadow for the day and anticipated everything I could want before I had even thought about it. Angela the general manager was also on hand throughout the whole planning process, and the morning of the wedding ensuring everything ran smoothly. Finally, the young gentleman who was working at The Refectory bar the night of our wedding. Unfortunately, I can’t remember his name. He managed to give us the last dance song we wanted when circumstances caused our DJ to be unable to play it. It was truly something special having our own private dance floor. Sometimes it’s the small things that can mean the most. It has now been almost three months since our wedding and our guests are still complimenting the venue and the time they spent at Hawkstone. We have actually received multiple thank you cards for such a wonderful time. (I thought it was the bride and groom's job to thank guests). In fact, guests have said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. We have so many precious memories from our time at Hawkstone that we can’t wait to return and create some more. I would just like to say a huge thank you to you and all your team at Hawkstone. The wedding on Thursday was a huge success and we couldn’t have asked for any more. You all worked extremely hard. To us it was perfection and I know you made Rhiannon really happy. Everything was just as we’d asked for and the food was fantastic!! I can’t tell you how many compliments we had about the venue, the flowers and the food. So many people said it was the best wedding they’d ever been to and that the venue was beautiful. I know we may have seemed a bit of a pain at some points but you just want it to all be right. One of my work colleagues said to me that I’d wake up the next morning and think what a waste of money but I can honestly say it was worth every penny and I’d do it all again. So thank you again, particularly to you Holly, as you tended to our every need and made the day the success it was. Very best wishes to you and everyone at Hawkstone. I feel like I’ve finally caught my breath after Sunday and just wanted to say massive thank you to Holly, Angela and the team. Our wedding was perfect and we owe you both a lot of thanks for executing it so flawlessly. Your attentiveness was noticed by so many guests and we have had so many positive comments. Thank you again and hopefully we will be able to visit Hawkstone Hall again soon. I would like to send my sincerest thanks to all members of the team at Hawkstone Hall from the reception team attending to every phone call/ request, to the cleaners who had the Bridal Suite looking picture perfect in what felt a blink of an eye (mesmerising to me!) to the waiting staff during our welcome reception. The guests were so full of high praise for the professionalism and ever constant presence with canape service and drinks service. The waiting staff were also tremendous during our Wedding breakfast, being prompt with all courses. Although for some reason I never expected to be served first, I was so touched that we were made to feel the priority and had that essence of magic throughout the air during the meal service. So, thank you. I also want to pass on my thanks for the talented catering team who truly made the meal an exceptional experience. I will be biased at my own Wedding but I don’t think I will ever attend a Wedding that will serve food that the catering team at Hawkstone were able to produce. Once again, I have had numerous guests, weeks on, telling me how incredible they found the food during all parts of the day (including the Braai/ BBQ – which we never got to taste! I blame greedy guests!) and how some of the guests told me that the cheesecake really was a show stopper of a dessert. Laura and Holly, I would like to offer my sincerest thanks from every area of the Wedding planning right up to the execution of the day. I would like to hope I was not the Bridezilla I actually felt inside towards you but I really and truly appreciate your level of communication with me throughout the entire process. My constant and probable pointless emails were all responded to, any query I had was answered and the setting up of stationery and props were all done so very well. Thank you for keeping me calm and feeling excited at the same time in the lead up to the Wedding; particularly the morning. I appreciated your frequent visits to the Bronte Suite, even if you did have to snap a picture of me whitening my teeth with rollers in my hair at 9.30am! I couldn’t help but laugh when Laura remarked about the true behind the scenes work that goes into Bridal Prep. I have received so many compliments about every aspect of the day and I think it is right to pass on these compliments to all of you at Hawkstone as you are the people who made the day what it was in terms of logistics and preparation. I am sure almost every Bride would say this, but I do wish we could do it all again. I know that so many people say enjoy the moment because it goes so fast, but I’m not sure you can ever truly be prepared for your Wedding Day because it’s a once in a lifetime experience and I’m very grateful to my Father and you all at Hawkstone for giving us the Wedding that was above and beyond what we anticipated when we became engaged in 2018. Funnily enough, we were due to marry in South Africa, and just before the pandemic, I remember asking God to give me a sign if it was the right thing to marry abroad. I’d like to think COVID was a pretty significant sign. Although, I didn’t wish for the entire world to stop when I had become a new mother just weeks before! And although I was devastated to lose my original Wedding plans, I am so happy that we had the day we truly wanted. And even the weather behaved for us! We felt very blessed. From the first visit we fell in love with this venue. Driving up the driveway and rounding the corner and catching that first glimpse was breathtaking. The welcome we received was so warm and made us really feel special. The whole team were such a big part of our day, nothing was ever too much trouble and the service we received felt so personal. The Hall itself is stunning, from the grand rooms to the bedrooms, even the toilets are out of this world. The grounds are absolutely stunning for photos, there is so much to see and explore. The food was amazing and beautifully presented. All our guests were blown away by this venue, we could not fault one thing about Hawkstone. A Perfect DayA Perfect Day
When your daughter gets married you want the day to go perfectly. Thanks to a combination of this enchanting, beautiful venue and the most impressive staff I have ever come across in any sort of venue the day could not have been any better and goes down as one of the most special days in my life. As father of the bride, I lost count of the number of times our guests said the most complimentary things about the venue and staff. The attention to detail in the new refurbishment is a thing to behold and nowhere do you feel it would have been even better if... because it already was! We were greeted by smiling, courteous, intelligent staff eager to ensure every aspect of our stay and event was as good as it could be. The food was outstanding at the wedding breakfast and evening reception as was the standard of canapes at the drinks reception. The rooms and suits at Hawkstone Hall are another special element of any stay and once again I find myself using the word outstanding with many rooms enjoying magnificent views across the estate and beyond to the rolling Shropshire countryside. For me, however, it is the standard of service that makes or breaks any venue. I would describe the service at Hawkstone Hall as Disney like. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff and service we received during our stay was truly impressive. Particular mention should be made of James, Laura, Scott and Jonathan who all went beyond anything I could reasonably have expected. They are a credit to the management at Hawkstone Hall and their enthusiasm for their job and the venue is quite something. There were also many other staff showing similar qualities. Thanks to a combination of this enchanting, beautiful venue and the most impressive staff I have ever come across in any sort of venue the day could not have been any better and goes down as one of the most special days in my life. As father of the bride, I lost count of the number of times our guests said the most complimentary things about the venue and staff. The attention to detail in the new refurbishment is a thing to behold and nowhere do you feel it would have been even better if... because it already was! We were greeted by smiling, courteous, intelligent staff eager to ensure every aspect of our stay and event was as good as it could be. The food was outstanding at the wedding breakfast and evening reception as was the standard of canapes at the drinks reception. The rooms and suits at Hawkstone Hall are another special element of any stay and once again I find myself using the word outstanding with many rooms enjoying magnificent views across the estate and beyond to the rolling Shropshire countryside. For me, however, it is the standard of service that makes or breaks any venue. I would describe the service at Hawkstone Hall as Disney like. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff and service we received during our stay was truly impressive. Particular mention should be made of James, Laura, Scott and Jonathan who all went beyond anything I could reasonably have expected. They are a credit to the management at Hawkstone Hall and their enthusiasm for their job and the venue is quite something. There were also many other staff showing similar qualities. Thank you all for making memories that will last a lifetime.

Wedding Day!Wedding Day!
We went to the most spectacular wedding at Hawkstone Hall a few weeks ago. The ceremony was held in the Chapel (which is to die for!), followed by drinks in the gardens by the lily pond, dinner in the ballroom and the reception in the refectory. It was so nice to be able to use the whole building and move around, instead of being cramped into one space. The food and service were great, everything was piping hot and plentiful.
