Welcome to our family farm venue for weddings and events in the beautiful Shropshire / Welsh Borders countryside. If you are dreaming of a rustic wedding, a wedding in a barn or a full on festival theme then Stanford Farm is the perfect rural setting for your big day. You can hire our farm venue for your three day, exclusive use wedding.
The Bull Barn, (30) is for pre & post ceremony drinks.
The Stables seats 100 for the licensed ceremony
The Cow House seats 180 max 200 for reception
The Lakeside outdoor legal ceremonies upto 200
We have lots of outdoor space, with two courtyards linking the three barns, a large garden oval for garden games and glamping & event tipi. There is lots of accommodation on site for you and your guests including a five bedroom farmhouse with hot tub, the Shepherds Hut, 4 Hobbit Huts and even a Double Decker Bus that sleeps 6! Accommodation is additional costs and can be passed on direct to your guests with your personalised link to our booking site for your dates.
Our venues are full of Character with the vaulted beams, wooden walls and bear brick. This allows you to add a little decorations to really put your stamp on the venue. From flowers to fairy lights, favours to festival flags what ever you want to add to Stanford Farm we welcome it all, after all it is your day.
Our venue hire is for a full 3 days Friday to Sunday or a discounted rate for Tuesday to Thursday. Make the most of your big day, why have 1 when you can have 3! We encourage the use of our venue for pre wedding BBQ's the night before or a big breakfast brunch the day after, so there's plenty of time to catch up with friends and family.

Wedding of our dreams!
We had the wedding of our dreams at Stanford. Cindy was always on hand to answer any queries and also let us visit last minute with suppliers etc. She was away for our wedding weekend but Keith was incredible. Nothing was too much trouble he was kind, complimentary and so helpful in the running of our day - always checking in with us and ensuring everything ran smoothly. The venue itself was just perfect. The plants and gardens are kept so beautiful. The Cow Shed just got prettier every time we saw it. The fairy lights are just stunning. The farmhouse is great and spacious, beds are super comfy. All staff are so friendly and hardworking. We just adored it and will recommend it to everyone for the rest of time. You guys are just incredible and you do such a wonderful job. We felt like we were the only wedding to have ever been there - the attention to detail from you all and the dedication to us as a couple for the entire weekend just made us feel so special and we honestly had the wedding of our dreams. Stanford Farm
Stanford Farm offers quite a unique opportunity to really personalise your wedding experience. We didn’t want to go somewhere where we felt like we were just on a conveyor belt and didn’t have time to really enjoy the experience with our guests - Stanford Farm gave us the ability to extend the celebration across an entire weekend. It is a bit more effort to manage but Cindy, Keith and the team were there to offer their support throughout and it was absolutely worth it. We also loved the range of Accomodation on-site and having everyone there all day was brilliant. The only thing that didn’t play ball for us was the weather but that just made it even more memorable…and the team pulled out all the stops to ensure even biblical rain didn’t spoil our day!

What a venue
I'm so glad I stalked a Facebook friends page to find out where her venue was.
What an amazing place to get married. Cindy and the team couldn't be more helpful with our daft questions! Her organisation on the day was excellent. She knew exactly when she was sending everyone down the aisle.
My wife's brother couldn't give her enough praise, and he's hard to please!
When setting up she came and helped us to organise the tables (I think she could hear us having a minor disagreement over spacing 🤣) Other than that she let us get on with it and do it our way.
There's a props store for you to dip into to add to your decor
Nothing was too much hassle for the guys here and I can quite honestly say that I would do our day over and over again.
The grounds are amazing, the accommodation is amazing.... EVERYTHING is amazing about this place.
I can't recommend getting married at Stanford enough.... we didn't want to leave.
The mother in law keeps watching the videos everyone sent because that's where her head still is.

Perfect wedding venue!
Stanford farm was the only place we would have wanted to get married. The flexibility allowed us to create our perfect three day event. We were on site from Thursday for a Saturday wedding and so we felt completely relaxed in the venue. The focus on sharing and re-using meant that our wedding was made more special by what was left behind and more eco-friendly. The team are very responsive and Keith ensured our wedding ran 100% to plan on the day. The place is truly beautiful inside and out.
We cannot thank the Stanford team enough. It was honestly the best day of our lives and we are so grateful to everyone who made it happen.

Beautiful venue - best day ever
No words can describe how amazing our time at Stanford Farm was. From the start Cindy and her team were excellent and answered our countless emails in the run up to our big day. We had the best three days and no task was too big or too small for Keith which we are extremely grateful for! Stanford Farm is the perfect venue with a great mix of outdoor and indoor space. Getting married by the lake was magical and the photos do not do it justice. It is a beautiful location that we will always remember. If you want a bespoke wedding to make your own then Stanford Farm is the ideal place. All the staff are friendly and really help to make your day special. We can’t wait to visit again soon. Stanford Farm
We got married at Stanford Farm on Saturday 3rd June 2023 and it was a perfect venue for us. We got the venue on the Friday morning and kept it until the Sunday evening, with most of our guests around 60-70 people staying on site (with no issues with shower facilities etc.). There is room for around 30-40 people to stay in the farmhouse and various hobbit huts and plenty of space for campers / campervans. The staff from the venue were incredibly helpful the whole way though, starting with Cindy who was in touch with information the whole way through the process. This was handed over to Keith closer to the time who answered all our last minute questions and was very helpful all throughout the weekend, ensuring all the little things were taken care of before we had even thought of them. The venue gave us complete flexibility to provide our own caterers and we used all our own food on the Friday and Sunday which helped us keep the costs down (we even sorted our own canapes and dessert on the day as well). There is brilliant outside space at the venue (we were lucky with the weather and managed to have an outside ceremony). We would highly recommend and wouldn’t have chosen anywhere else. That's so hard! Lots of best bits... Kiki & Sharons first couples dance, great chorography. Dayna's beautiful veil , Sadie & Beths Tug o war, Sarah & Matts Sisters Speech, Carmen & Nialls Dads speech, Chloe & Ashleys woodland wedding....oh the list goes on! I love every single one.

Don't worry about the little things. Yes get creative and making it personal to you, but when you spend a week planning a background playlist - people may only pick up on one song!

Ohhh i think its the favours....they are so personalised to suit the couple. Dan & Sam gave everyone a badge not only with the their name but relationship to the couple which was lovely as a conversation starter

One of our couples was being filmed for a year Tourette's teacher, so we had the film crew here all the wedding. Natalie's Tourette's was unuusally quiet most of the ceremony :-)

Growing it from nothing. We are always doing jobs here and building something new. I see a vision and I'm like, we need this! Many couples say who book in advance how much the venue changes getting better and better.
