Haddon Grove Farm Cottages

My husband and I celebrated our wedding in Bakewell and held our reception at Haddon Grove Farm Cottages one year ago. We returned back for our honeymoon this September and we couldn’t have asked for a more welcoming, relaxing luxury stay. We stayed in the Love Nest - a blissful, romantic little home from home. The decor is Old English Country meets Modern Chic with a bohemian twist - just perfect. The bed is possibly the comfiest bed we have ever slept in, the bathroom is just to die for and the log burner makes the who place feel so cosy. You can’t help but instantly smile and relax as you walk through the door. The rooms and linen are immaculately clean and the scent of jasmine fills the room as you enter. Booking couldn’t be easier. Communication from the owners is seamless and informative. The extra information provided regarding Covid is clear and concise without clouding your stay. The check in process is so simple and we were welcomed by wonderful Mark (from a distance of course!) who instantly recognised us from our wedding weekend. As a guest, Mark can’t do enough for you to make your stay as special as possible - all with a huge smile on his face. To top it all off, Covid means a one hour slot for each cottage to have the pool all to yourself - again, just bliss. Although we stayed in the Love Nest, we were lucky enough to spend a little time in each of the cottages last year with our guests. They are all so wonderful and adorable in their own way. They have been renovated and decorated to an excellent standard, whilst keeping their original charm. We intend to return year after year and class the Haddon Grove Team as friends. Would 100000% recommend.

Haddon Grove Farm Cottages was such a perfect venue to have our wedding reception this summer. There are so many positive things to say, beautiful views, stylish / vintage comfortable cottages, remote country side location yet close to Bakewell and other villages and easily accessible providing you pre book taxis / transport. There were plenty of surrounding B and B’s and hotels to accommodate the rest of our guests at the wedding. From the beginning Barry, our main contact, was really helpful in answering all our questions, he was always available to chat to us through out and gave us many recommendations to help us with our preparations. We booked knowing this was a DIY wedding reception, we had hired the field / cottages and it was ours to build a wedding how we wanted. It was easier than expected with the support of Barry and Mark all the way through planning to the event itself. On the wedding day we hired Mark to help us in case we had any problems, he was a great help nothing was too much trouble. The cottages were beautiful and the Love Nest was absolutely perfect for a brides dressing room. So much thought has gone into the design. The cottage is just big enough for hairdresses, makeup artists and bridesmaids coming and going. So many people commented that it was the best wedding they had been to with a really relaxed, informal feel which is what we wanted. Thanks so much Barry, Joanne and Mark you make a great team and have built a very stunning venue for a perfect countryside wedding. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this venue to anyone, it was everything and more than we had ever imagined our day to be.

We have been overwhelmed with thanks and praise from guests who had such a wonderfully memorable and, most importantly SO relaxed and SUCH FUN time at Natasha and James’ recent Haddon Grove wedding. The standard and details of the accommodation were over and above what guests expected, and those with families were blown away by the playground, pool and games room which meant parents were totally relaxed as their children played happily and safely around the complex. We were lucky with the weather which resulted in everybody getting to take in the beautiful peak district setting with lovely views over dual aspects from the marquee. Caterers and all the wedding suppliers had no trouble with access, parking or communication so everything went smoothly and we just cannot thank Haddon Grove enough for ensuring this was the case. On top of all this we were all very touched by the extra little touches and delicious treats in all the cottages. Our Big Day went off perfectly and we really wanted to say in writing that the venue was a very major part of that success. Many thanks once again, and hope to visit before too long!
