An experienced team will work closely with you to make sure that the Great Hall, with its 14th-century barrel-vaulted ceiling, is transformed. With candles, flowers, twinkling lights, soft flooring and comfortable seating, you can have a unique and very personal style of ceremony.

Our packages are a standard: £1300 + VAT (2024) and £1350 + VAT (2025) for a maximum of 60 guests. - A dedicated member of staff to help plan and deliver your special ceremony - Staff to prepare the venue on your wedding day - Staff to prepare the venue for a dress rehearsal - Staff to serve toast/canapes as requested - Use of castle and grounds for photographs - Hire of up to 60 chairs - White chair covers and choice of bows - LED candle arrangements around the Laigh Hall - Guarantee to be the only wedding on that day For smaller, intimate wedding ceremonies please get in touch for pricing. first visit to Dundonald Castle

A few weeks ago I had my first visit to Dundonald Castle which was very interesting as it was in a much more usable condition than I had imagined and extended over 3 levels. If you are interested in a small wedding then I can recommend the venue. Excellent staff co-ordinating and organising the ceremony and looking after the guests post-ceremony while the bride & groom were making use of the castle to get their photos.

From the first visit, we fell in love with the castle's charm and knew it'd be the perfect space for our wedding... The decorations placed by the team looked amazing and added to the castle's unique and warm atmosphere... Our concerns about restoration work in progress didn't affect anything at all. Our pictures taken within the hall and on the grounds look amazing, with the beautiful castle walls backdrop and scenic views from Dundonald hill.

Thank you for the very kind reception my husband Hugh and I received from yourself and all of the staff at Dundonald Castle when we came to conduct the wedding of Euan **** & Emma **** . All of your team could not have been more helpful and everyone had a fantastic afternoon. The castle was stunning... the weather was beautiful, the staff extremely helpful. Our Stunning Winter Wedding

We can't thank Dundonald Castle enough for giving us the wedding of our dreams. To say we had the best day would be an understatement. Nothing was a problem for them and they set the castle up exactly how we wanted it. The castle itself is a total blank canvas but we were able to borrow so many decorations and they dressed the room to perfection. Our photos look absolutely phenominal and we got so attached to all the staff. They all looked just as thrilled as our guests to see us tie the knot! I can't recommend Dundonald Castle enough. All of our friends said it was the best wedding they've ever been to. Thanks so much for everything! Will make an annual visit from now on!

Describe the best wedding that happened at Dundonald Castle?

We are lucky to host beautifully bespoke weddings which makes it really hard to choose a favourite. Everyone likes to add a little something in to create the perfect atmosphere which suits the couples best. I always enjoy the light-hearted, no stress and often hilarious ceremonies which are so reflective of the couples themselves. In terms of decor, we love those gorgeous candle-lit backdrops with lots of rustic greenery. It really makes the castle stand out in a beautiful way in the photos.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

My number 1 tip is to put yourselves and your own vision first. So many people have great ideas and often want to help with the planning, however, to truly enjoy your day, try and stick to your own vision and wants as a couple.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

I always enjoy ceremonies that are tailored to the couple and helps them really show off how special their relationship is.

Where’s the best photo spot at Dundonald Castle?

Any photo which captures the beautiful bare stonework of the 14th-century castle. Particularly in the Laigh or Great Halls. There is also great outdoor space with amazing views of the island of Arran in the distance. There is a large outdoor grassed area which is great for group photographs.

Our venue is a 14th-century medieval castle built for Scottish King Robert II. With royal connections, a beautiful 650-year-old barrel-vault ceiling and lots of nooks and crannies for great photos, we have a lovely unique venue.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

Our weddings are all bespoke and designed around the couple's perfect ceremony dream. From rustic to themed and everything in between, our venue can be decorated to suit almost anything!
