I just love roodlea so much. The benue is absolutely perfect. So beautiful and such a stunning setting. Caroline and her family were so accommodating help me through the planning making everything go so smoothly. Everyting ran on time, no hanging about and just a very amazing happy wedding day. Would highly recommend

Fantastic venue and a very good location. The views are amazing and the atmosphere was great. The staff were incredibly friendly welcoming and willing to help you. This was a highlight.

A lovely wedding venue, staff were first class

We had our wedding at Roodlea Barn in Summer 2021. The venue is stunning and looked amazing on the day; all of our guests said the same! As the barn is a blank canvas we could add our personal touches too which was great to make the day even more special. The addition of Roodlea House added to the relaxed vibe of the day allowing the bridal party to get ready in the morning without the stresses of transport to the venue. Chelsea enjoyed being able to watch guests arriving at the barn from the house too! Caroline was amazing helping us with our wedding planning and answered all the questions we had quickly and with as much detail as she could give with the ever changing restrictions. On the day John, Ashleigh and Michael could not have been more accommodating and made the day run without a hitch. Thank you all again! We are so glad we chose Roodlea for our wedding venue and would recommend it to any couple looking for a rustic, relaxed and personalised wedding. Greig and Chelsea x

I came across Roodlea Barn in a wedding magazine not long after I got engaged. I knew I wanted something simplistic that I could add my own twist to. I followed the progress of the renovation on Instagram and knew I would love it in person. We booked the venue the day we visited. Ashleigh and her family are so professional and so helpful - they were so quick to respond to any emails or queries I had. It was also great to have them there on the day to help with the running of it all. The venue has been finished to an exceptionally high standard. The attention to detail is amazing and you can really add your own touch to it to create your perfect day. I didn’t think Roodlea needed anything added to it as it was beautiful just as it was. So many of our guests commented on the venue and how lovely it was. We can’t wait to come back in December for our evening reception. X

Had our wedding here on the 15th of October and it was just the most beautiful setting. The staff were amazing and Caroline went above and beyond to make our day run smoothly. So many of our guests commented on how stunning it was! Really was a great day helped so much by Roodlea barn.

We got married here last month and can't rate it highly enough. The venue is beautiful. Perfect for DIY weddings with enough of its own charm to go minimal on decor. We had booked another venue before being let down during covid. The other venue was literally an empty barn for pretty much the same price so to find roodlea which had tables, seating, lighting, sound system, bar and a few accessories like barrels thrown in was great. I also loved how there was different sections for guests to mingle and the curtains can be let out or drawn in to make the space feel more intimate. A lot of venues have set suppliers who they work with but it was great that roodlea don't. Nothing was off limits and it gave us the opportunity to really personalise our day. Above all though, I have to say Caroline went out her way to make sure everything ran smoothly the day of and the day before. She was really flexible with plans and last minute changes. She even stepped up to play the music for the ceremony and came to check on us before the ceremony and throughout the day. She liaised with the catering staff and rearranged seating plans the day before with a few cancellations. This was all above her remit of what was expected of her. All the staff behind the bar were great on the night and everyone commented on how reasonably priced it was for a wedding venue. The bridal suite is gorgeous and a nice touch to get ready in just before the ceremony. The house is also perfect to prolong your celebrations and not worry about transport in the morning and late at night you can just cross the garden into bed. Would definitely recommend.

I can't recommend Roodlea Barn enough if you are on the lookout for a beautiful blank canvas in Ayrshire for your wedding day. We got married in April but had to wait until we got our photography to show off how beautiful the space is! Special thanks to Caroline from Roodlea who helped coordinate our day - she went above and beyond to ensure we were stress-free and everything was running smoothly. Unfortunately we didn't get the weather for outdoors (ah, Scotland!), but there are stunning grounds and outdoor areas too if you are lucky enough to use them - as we were a smaller wedding, the barn area was still perfect for what we needed. We stayed at Roodlea House for two nights and it was a dream to get ready in the morning of the wedding - with complimentary fizz and breakfast hamper provided! Exceptional, would highly recommend.
