Oh my goodness I don't know where to begin. Will try my best to put it into words, sorry I ramble on with all of my feelings. From the start this has been more than just a venue. We fell in love with it last October when we came for afternoon tea, and picking this place to have our wedding day was the best decision I've made. For the whole year that we spent wedding planning, Doxford became a little haven and happy place for me, and it has been an honour getting to know all the staff on a personal level including my (new best friend) Angela the wedding planner, to the reception staff, waitressing and bar staff, and whole wider team. They could not have been more lovely or accommodating, it for one is so special to have a wedding venue where you can visit on the lead up, whether that is going for afternoon tea and showing my family when they are visiting, or going for a wander and cuppa, the staff every time without fail treat you with the upmost friendliness and have been nothing but welcoming. Angela has made the whole process of wedding planning so simple and I stressful, no email or question was a silly question (even though some of mine definitely were), and she was always there with a smile and turned into a true friend. She made this experience so magical and special and I could not ever thank her enough for that. She is one of a kind, and SO good at what she does. One stand out highlight of the wedding day for me, is when I was walking down the stairs with my Dad and bridesmaids, and at the bottom waiting for us was all of the staff: Angela, the receptionists, waitresses and waiters, and bar staff who I've got to know well and who's faces said a million words, it was honestly so special and brought a tear to my Dads eye, and it was just what I needed. Not every venue would offer that or be that personal, and I think that speaks a thousand words of what type of place it is. In addition, despite it being an amazing venue, it's incredible what you get for the price, and you can make the wedding to how you want it. I was shocked at the price when told as it's cheaper than most venues that I personally looked it, but as well as this with a choice of rooms to get married in to suit you, a WIDE amount of food to choose from (the food tasting was incredible) and also the choice, (but not the pressure where you have to fill rooms) for guests to stay there at a wedding price, with breakfast included the next day, which with a lot of people travelling down was ideal for us. We got a wedding package which made planning so much easier as we then just had to sort a handful of additional suppliers, making the organising stress free and enjoyable, something I did not expect wedding planning to be! The day itself ran so smooth and beyond anuthing I could have ever imagined, we literally just turned up with our stuff and they did the rest. The ceremony was gorgeous, the drinks reception and canapés were to die for, and the grounds for pictures are out of this world! Also although it is not an exclusive venue, it is so cosy and you feel like you have the whole place to ourselves, and it is so special we have the opportunity to return, whether that is to go to the spa, for an anniversary trip, lunch or afternoon tea. Sorry to you reading an essay (hope you got this far), but we truly hand on heart had the best and most magical wedding day, exceeding all our expectations. Thank you Doxford hall, I could not recommend a more perfect venue, it was the best day of our lives and I could not dream of getting married anywhere else! 💗💗 p.s if you need me to ever come and work wedding day open days for you I will! 😂🥰

Doxford Hall provided the most special venue and service for my daughter and son in laws wedding on the 7th April 2023. The staff and food were exceptional, all guests complimented the fantastic service. We felt very special and not just one of many weddings as you are at many venues. A very special thank you to the exceptional Angela and Glen who made nothing too much trouble. We also stayed for a few nights which extended a very special weekend. Just wonderful!! We were married on 2nd April 2023 at Doxford Hall and it was perfect from start to finish. We knew as soon as we met your wedding coordinator, Angela, that it would be a smooth, well organised experience. Angela has been fantastic, a great communicator and extremely well organised. Her attention detail is second to none. She is able to sort out any problem and make useful suggestions. She allowed us to plan the day exactly how we wanted it. We were able to have a private dining experience the night before which was the perfect start to our wedding. Our wedding day went better than we could have ever hoped for. Everything we had asked for had been achieved and the staff could not have been more accommodating. Our wedding suite was fantastic too. Our guests had a great experience, the food was amazing and one of our biggest compliments from the day. The grounds looked exceptional and our wedding photographer was able to get some fantastic shots. We had the added bonus of being able to use the spa facilities during our stay too. We can’t recommend getting married at Doxford Hall enough. Thank you to Angela and all the staff.

It's always been a pleasure working with the friendly and experienced staff. Doxford Hall is a truly beautiful Georgian country house set in lovely grounds with it's unique maze. There are a range of event rooms available to suit any size wedding, The Kennedy Suite in particular is the perfect setting for a wedding. With a large number of bedrooms to accommodate your guests and the added attraction of the spa with it's swimming pool your guests will love it. Doxford Hall is also surrounded by beautiful countryside and close to some of the UK's best castles and beaches. We always highly recommend Doxford Hall to couples looking for their venue.

I am a recommended supplier at Doxford Hall, this is a stunning venue with outstanding grounds and staff. Nothing is ever to much trouble for the staff and on the wedding days the work and commitment they put in to making the couples day run smooth is exceptional. I am a wedding and events pianist, and have played at Doxford Hall Hotel on a number of occasions. The Hotel itself is a graceful Georgian stone-built mansion set in a secluded position in the North Northumberland countryside. It definitely has the power to impress - the dramatic staircase and grand ballroom are imposing sights - yet it manages to be cosy and welcoming as well. The hotel and its well-manicured gardens and grounds are very photogenic. The perfect spot for memorable photographs. I've been lucky enough to sample the food a few times, and the kitchens clearly have skilled chefs with an eye for presentation. Perhaps Doxford's greatest asset, however, is the staff. In all my dealings with management, the wedding team and other members of staff, I have found everyone to be extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. I have no doubt they will work very hard, and go the extra mile, to ensure your wedding is spectacular and special in every way you want. In conclusion: I have been performing in top class hotels for over 30 years, and would definitely recommend Doxford Hall Hotel as a venue you must consider for your wedding! David McLeish

I wanted to thank all the staff for the wonderful day we had at Anna & Hannes wedding. The whole experience was so wonderful; not just the setting which is perfect but the ceremony, wedding breakfast and how everything went so seamlessly all day. We could not have wished for a more perfect day for our special couple. I would particularly like to thank all the staff from Reception to the kitchens, and front of house - nothing was too much trouble from the Friday we arrived to the Sunday we left.

Our day was perfect. In fact, every guest said the same. From the setting to the organisation it was wonderful. The building and surrounds are beautiful but it is the people who make it extra special. Everyone loved their rooms and the ambience of the hotel and the wedding function room looked a picture. Chef's food was a complete hit - it really was beautiful and the best food we’ve eaten at a wedding breakfast. We can’t thank you enough for making our day so easy and such a pleasure.

We got married at Doxford Hall in July of 2022. We had the most amazing day from start to finish. Staff couldn’t do enough for us and made sure that everything was set up exactly how we wanted. The day flowed perfectly and we are still receiving comments on how amazing the food and day was. The amazing grounds made sure our pictures were perfect. We couldn’t thank the staff enough and wish we could do the day all over again. We will definitely be back soon for a visit and a stay. Thank you!
