Full Description
We’ve been hosting Weddings and Parties in our charming eighteenth-century Barns since 1984 and we’d like to think we’ve created a lot of happy memories.
Our must-see venue is an authentic barn, with a choice of stunning spaces for your ceremony, original pig sites for the meal and a stunning 300 year old Threshing Barn to party in 'til late.
The Barn leads directly onto a private outdoor courtyard; a sun-trap perfect for canapes, drink receptions and festoon-lit dancing.
You have exclusive-use of all the Barn's indoor and outdoor spaces, plus the full run of the estate for photographs, including our fields, woodland and old farm outbuildings.
Our amazing kitchen caters for all of our events in-house. Our chefs are famous for their BBQs, carveries, indulgent buffets, cakes of cheese and serious tasty hog roasts.
The picturesque site is located between the market towns of Melbourne and Castle Donington.

Our wedding day!
When I got engaged I already knew I wanted to get married here! I dragged my now Husband with me for a viewing to get his approval. Thankfully, he loved it as much as me! From then the events team made the process so so easy for us! Every question and idea I had, they helped me and responded quickly.
On the day, I was supported massively from start to finish and nothing was ever too much - a staff member on the bar even undid my buttons on my dress at the end of the night so I could get out of it easily in my room! We got so many compliments about how beautiful the venue was and how good the food was!
I couldn’t recommend the venue enough for its unique look, friendly staff and amazing photo locations! We got married in November and we’re super lucky with the weather but even if it has been raining the venue is just stunning everywhere!

Seamless Autumnal Venue
We had our wedding in early November. This venue complemented our rustic autumnal theme in every way from the decor, the log fires, the mulled wine served, to the back dropped to our wedding photos. Every step of the way the staff were friendly and helpful with any questions we had or during meetings with us. They ensured everything ran smoothly and made sure it was perfect which, although we completely planned our own wedding, took the stress away on the day. They REALLY know what they are doing. The food choices were also extensive and incredible at every stage. This place has really captured my heart and will always be so special to us.

One word - incredible
We had our big day on 30/10/2022. The brides family and bridesmaids stayed at the venue the evening before and we had booked every room out the evening of!
The day was absolutely magical. The team (Alicja, Jade, Kayleigh to name a few) ensured the day was extremely smooth, we didn’t have to worry about a thing and they made us feel completely at ease, they all really are wedding experts! Jade and her team on the day even helped me walk across the carpark before the ceremony so that my dress didn’t get wet and dirty from the rain.
The food was incredible on the day - we had the bbq buffet! We didn’t have canapés but had bowls of crisps and nuts dotted around! And in the evening we had hot rolls. Yum!
The venue in itself is stunning. It’s so unique and barley needs any decoration!
There isn’t one negative about this venue - it’s simply the best and I’m SO glad we chose to get married here!

A perfect day at a beautiful venue
We had a beautiful wedding at Donington Park Farmhouse Hotel.
The team were very helpful from the start, providing details on how the day would run and a huge list of local vendors that they had worked with before. This is especially useful when finding photographers, florists etc.
On the day the staff were all really helpful and welcoming and kept checking that everything was ok for us. We couldn't have asked for more!
The ground were great for photos too - we had ours taken across the road in the fields and then some round the back by the pond and log pile. They looked amazing!!

The most magical day
We had the most amazing day for our wedding. The staff and everyone at the venue were so accommodating and helped us with every little detail. We needed a venue with disabled access and also wanted to include our dogs and donington had it all , whilst still providing the most stunning barn and grounds ! The food was incredible and we had so many comments about how stunning the venue was. The rustic charm is everything we wanted and we could not have asked for anymore on our special day. Everyone had such an amazing time and we cannot thank anyone enough for making our day so perfect.

Chorizo & Stilton Toasts! Closely followed by Mini Yorksire Puds with Beef. Yum!

Our incredible cheeseboards. Visually stunning and go down a storm!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
The Pig Sties, our formal dining room. It's one of a kind, an incredible talking point. (And full of natural light!)
What part of your business are you most proud of?
As a family, we're seriously committed to the environment. We have tonnes of solar panels (mostly out of sight!), a carbon-neutral heating system, reed bed sewage treatment (away from the site of course!) and try to buy locally, including from our own farm and deer park.
