Imagine 12,000 acres of the most stunning scenery in Northumberland and a venue that is all your own.
A charming, romantic and unusual wedding venue, Cuddystone Hall stands completely alone surrounded by hills in the heart of the beautiful, remote College Valley. It is licensed for civil wedding ceremonies and if hired will be used exclusively by you making it a very private day.
We provide the magnificent setting; the rest is up to you. This means you can have your perfect wedding day - one that is completely unique and special to you on the budget you want.
It is the ideal place to create the event YOU want; whether it’s a classy, romantic wedding, where guests drink champagne while taking in the majestic hills, or a barbeque/picnic where children play by the stream and on their bikes. If you yearn to have your dog as your bridesmaid or have a bouncy castle and welly-throwing competition, the hall allows you the freedom to do that. Whatever it is, it will be the occasion no-one forgets for all the right reasons.
We recommend a maximum of 120 for the size of the hall; 80 can comfortably sit down for a meal and 120 can sit when the hall is set out in rows with an aisle down the middle. It has large windows allowing you to enjoy the spectacular views and with the newly stripped and varnished floor, it is exceptionally light.
It has a fully equipped kitchen with large catering cooker, dishwasher and urn. There are place settings for 80 people.
Stage large enough for a band and separate ladies, gents and disabled toilets.
There is a large, flat area beside the hall to accommodate a marquee and ample parking. The hall is 3 miles up a private, well-maintained, single track road with exceptionally restricted vehicle access.
Disabled Access.
In addition to the hall there are four lovely, private and very comfortable holiday houses, two bed and breakfasts and a youth hostel in the valley so your family and friends can stay here with you.
