Chapel 1877

Went there for a wedding recently. Had a lovely time in the private function room downstairs

We had our wedding ceremony followed by a wedding breakfast/evening for 40 guests at the Chapel and everything went wonderfully. Agi had been amazing at organizing everything, advising us on decoration, on food and wine choices, on table decorations, she was such a wonderful help and so flexible with our needs. The staff were so helpful and friendly. It was the perfect intimate wedding.

After a year of planning, my husband and I finally got married here last week. We had the best day ever. Both our day and evening guests all also thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. I have to say a massive thank you to our wedding co-ordinator Agi who has been such a huge support throughout the process. Nothing is too much for her to help with and advise on. She ensured all the plans for the day were executed flawlessly and everything flowed as I hoped it would. Also a big thank you to Alan who has put up with many visits from me with various family and friends over the last year, while I was introducing them to the venue. The venue itself is beautiful. The food was excellent as it always is at Chapel 1877. I have been told that the evening, whilst plentiful, was also the best buffet a number of guests had ever enjoyed. I just wish the day had never ended!! Thank you all for making me a very happy bride!

We booked the Churchill suite in Chapel 1877 for my daughter's wedding ceremony. The ceremony was originally booked for Cardiff Castle but due to the Queen's passing it was cancelled a week before the wedding as the Castle was closed due to military lockdown until after the funeral. As you can imagine this was extremely stressful but thankfully Chapel 1877 came to the rescue and fitted us in with a week to go until the wedding. The wedding coordinator was a lovely lady called Caitlin and she was very helpful, meeting with us 2 days before the wedding to discuss fine details. The wedding was lovely and the building is so beautiful. We didn't eat there as the reception was already booked at a local hotel but I would love to return for a meal there sometime. Many thanks to all the staff who assisted us in what was a very stressful time.

We had our wedding at Chapel 1877 in September, and it was the most amazing experience. The venue is absolutely beautiful, all the original chapel features have been tastefully restored with an incredible attention to detail. If you want a 'wow' factor when your guests enter the venue then this is the right place for you. The original windows, features and intricate lighting provide the perfect backdrop for wedding pictures. All of the staff went above and beyond to make sure our requirements were met, and they all have a passion for what they do. Our guests also commented on the outstanding service we all received. The food is of a very high standard, beautifully presented and amazing quality. The managers Karen & James did everything they could to give us the most special and memorable day. They have a passion for making you feel like you're the only couple to ever get married, and they inspire everyone around them. Cheselle our wedding co-ordinator was very professional and looked after all our requirements. We would highly recommend Chapel 1877 to anyone thinking of getting married there, we had the most wonderful day and we can't thank the staff enough for making us feel so special.

Recently attended a wedding at Chapel and I can't fault it. From the beautiful setting to the fabulously catered food, everything was top notch. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. A few of my friends had been to Chapel before and raved about it and I can see why. Absolutely gorgeous venue and would highly recommend
