Here at Barns Walled Garden, we’re big on versatility, freedom and stress-free celebrating. Which is why you will always have access to the venue the day before to decorate it personally and to really make it feel like yours! There’s no last-minute rushing around here – just fun! Barns Walled Garden, is an exclusive use venue with room for up to 140 guests to party in the elegant, wood floored marquee, sitting amidst the lawns and apples trees of an historic walled garden. Natural outdoor ceremonies can be set up anywhere in the garden, or in the ‘Yolo Yew Circle’. Guests can relax around the fire pits, roasting marshmallows or just star gazing.

Dream fairy garden venueDream fairy garden venue
We viewed the venue shortly after we got engaged in February 2025, it had just snowed and it was a very grey day. However, the magic of the garden was there despite the season. The venue was just starting at that point so it was amazing getting to see how it changed over the next year and a half every time we visited. In August 2025 we visited and the toilets had been built which are amazing. We then went again in May 2026 and the glasshouse had just been built which is utterly stunning. We used it as a chill out area on the day and it worked perfectly. It’s also a great photo spot! We loved the fact that we could choose our own vendors and create the day exactly as we imagined. Rachel helped us throughout who was amazing, she encouraged all my crazy ideas! I was pestering her quite a lot, she has the patience of a saint. The day would not have been the same without her. I was fully prepared for something to go wrong as everyone told me something always does but everything went perfectly which is totally down to the coordinators we had on the day. They were so on the ball. We had the most magical day and so many guests have told us it was the best most chilled wedding. We wanted fun and chilled and this venue completely allows that. It’s intimate, magical, gorgeous and allows you to put your own touch to your day. The garden, flowers and trees totally add to the feeling of being in a magical garden. Plus, as it’s surrounded by green and forest, you feel like you are a million miles away despite being so close to Peebles. The marquee with the fairy lights was perfect for the party. The marquee itself is huge so we were able to keep all our tables up and still have a massive dancefloor which was filled all night. We stayed in the on site accommodation which was perfect for the bridesmaids the night before, wedding morning glam session and then a romantic wedding night. Cannot recommend the venue enough, if you’re looking for intimate, magical garden vibes then this is the place!
