Nestled in the heart of the Cornish countryside, Avalen Farm is a unique, family-run wedding venue where rustic charm meets relaxed countryside elegance.
Set within a fifth-generation working farm, our beautiful collection of traditional granite barns has been lovingly restored to create a truly special place to celebrate your wedding. Surrounded by rolling fields, peaceful courtyards and our apple orchard, Avalen offers a beautiful blank canvas for you to create a day that feels completely your own.
With exclusive use of the venue over three days, you’ll have the time and freedom to settle in, celebrate with your favourite people and enjoy every moment without feeling rushed.
Our barns bring together everything you need for your special day, including a licensed ceremony room, a beautiful dining barn, a welcoming bar and our charming Cart House accommodation. Whether you dream of an intimate celebration or a lively gathering with family and friends, our flexible approach means your wedding can be tailored to suit you.
For couples looking to add a little extra meaning to their day, we also offer the opportunity to plant an apple tree in our orchard – a lovely way to mark the beginning of your married life together, rooted in the place where your story began.
As a family-run venue, we pride ourselves on offering a personal, friendly service. We believe your wedding should reflect who you are, which is why we love working with couples to bring their ideas to life, with the freedom to make the day truly bespoke.

We provide two wedding packages:
**Weekend Package**
This option is for a Saturday wedding, accommodating up to 120 day guests and 200 evening guests. It also includes a two-night stay in our Bridal suite.
**Intimate Wedding Package**:
This choice is for a Wednesday wedding, allowing up to 40 day guests, with a two-night stay in our Bridal suite included. Additional guests can be added on Wednesdays for £45 per person, with the capacity to invite an extra 60 people in the evening.

The team were astounding, helpful and thoughtful. No question was silly and nothing was too big an ask. My constant questions over whatsapp didn’t bother them and they helped me with all my worries and queries. On our wedding day, we had nothing to worry about because the staff were on the ball and helped with vendors and decor and even helping out with our aisle walk. They had everything down to a T to make sure it all ran smoothly. I would go back to this venue again and again and would recommend it to anyone! Thank you Avalen Team for making our wedding so special❤️Avalen Farm as a venue, is absolutely beautiful, the details are stunning and the hard work they put into building it shows. Superb - everyone said it was the best wedding ever!Avalen is absolutely beautiful in itself; rustic, quiet, relaxed, quality, inviting, and set amongst beautiful countryside at the foot of Helman's tour. The team went out of their way to make sure the grounds and venue were all set up perfectly. The cart house is well laid out and has everything you need to prepare. But aside from all of that, most importantly, the team planned everything so that we could relax and enjoy our perfect day (and it really really was perfect). The food was delicious, the wine well chosen, the decor was delightful and the team couldn't do enough to make sure everything went smoothly, including organising some surprises for me from my parents and my husband. Honestly, there is nothing to fault - it is the finishing touches which were so special and the care that was taken to ensure we could just enjoy ourselves with our guests. The beautiful apple tree we got to plant the next day, was such a lovely touch. It really does feel as though we are part of the venue now, as the venue is also part of us and our hearts. We are still talking about our day a month after the wedding, we would quite happily relive our day over and over again in a heartbeat. And we have to put that down to how they helped us throughout the 14ish months we spent planning our day. No questions were too silly and they always had time for any worries you had. It's taken me a while to write this review as I cant seem to put it into words how incredible Avalen Farm and the team were during the whole planning process of our wedding. It was the only place we viewed and fell in love with it over 2 years ago. It's a beautiful venue with the best staff. Everyone is so friendly and their communication is absolutely incredible. Another factor was we can choose our own suppliers and decorate it ourselves to make it personal to us. We had so many compliments from guests saying what a hidden gem it was and some even saying they wish they knew about this venue. With extra stars on top 🌟 We got married here June 2024. It was the only place we viewed and fell in love with it over 2 years ago. It's a beautiful venue with the best staff. Everyone is so friendly and their communication is absolutely incredible. Another factor was we can choose our own suppliers and decorate it ourselves to make it personal to us. My husband and I got married at Avalen on 1st June and honestly it was the most incredible place to get married. As soon as we saw the venue, it had my heart and I knew I'd marry my bestfriend here. What is your venue's most unique feature?
The two-ton granite stone at the heart of the handcrafted Bull's Pen Bar, the ancient sycamore tree that adorns our wedding arch, and our expanding apple orchard all create a beautiful backdrop. We warmly invite couples to plant a tree to celebrate their special day and symbolise their enduring marriage.
