We are not a Manor, Hall or Estate. We are not a Barn, Hotel or Estate, we are ASHFIELD HOUSE. When couples take over exclusively for their wedding day, our house becomes like their home and we become like their extended family! Our house is a gorgeous blank canvas for weddings, it is grand yet homely and is jam packed full of quirky details (old and new) yet somehow manages to soak up the personality of each couple. The atmosphere here is full of love and joy, probably because of the absolute legends that make up our wedding team, busy doing their dream job day in day out! Our house and our team are laid back, fun, creative and wild – but not so hipster your Nan wont approve! We are not normal… being an independent family business means we let couples do their thing without a load of rules getting in the way. We love drinking coffee and brainstorming about how to make weddings awesome – and with a layout designed specifically for weddings, mind blowing in house catering and 15 guest bedrooms we really do ace it. Shameless brag, we’ve won the UK’s best venue (town/city) 2017, 2018 and 2019 and for 2020 we are living the dream as judges! We never stop evolving, much like Madonna Queen of Reinvention, we close each year to redecorate, renovate and populate our house with very lovely new things.

Amazing

Could not fault Ashfield, right from the first open day to the wedding. Very accommodating of everything and delivered a fantastic day, with every minute enjoyed by all guests. Food was amazing, and Majorie is great

Outstanding from the moment we arrived. The staff were fantastic nothing was to much trouble. The food was amazing, all the guests all commented on how good it was. The venue has everything you need, we had a wide age range of guests, the accommodation was suitable for everyone. What an amazing day, thank you.

Couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue

Ashfield House and all its staff were absolutely wonderful. My daughter and her partner had the most fabulous wedding there recently. Nothing was too much trouble and they were able to personalise their special day in any way at they wanted. Everything was perfect and we had an amazing day. Best day ever!!

From start to finish Ashfield house was amazing! From our first viewing, open house you name it fantastic. Such lovely attentive staff, big thank you to Marjorie who was amazing and looked after myself and husband like absolute royalty! So attentive, such a lovely venue and fantastic staff. My guests want me to get married again just so they can go back there!

The most magical day!!!

Where to even begin!! We knew from the moment we first stepped inside Ashfield House it was the venue for us! It was the first we looked around and the last!!!! Absolutely everything about the venue is incredible! The staff! Our wonderful wedding coordinator Marj, is worth her weight in gold and more! Nothing was too much for her, she worked her socks off all day and into the night! Always smiling always there! She was perfect! The food!! Out of this world! The rooms! Magical!! All our guests enjoyed every minute and now understand why we chose the venue where we did! A regular question on every bodies lips…”Why Wigan? Why that far?” And now they know! Because it is the most perfect place for the most perfect day, and that is what it was!! Perfect! Thank you so much Ashfield!

I couldn’t have imagined such a perfect wedding day.

Honestly; Ashfield House made all my wedding dreams (that I never had!) come true, it was perfect from start to end, the staff, the venue, the hospitality, I cannot complain. The wedding movie looks like something out of a fairytale, I had so many guests message me after saying they had never been to a wedding like this ever before. Marjorie and Jennie were absolute Angela’s! If I ever got married again it would still be here!!

The best day ever!

We got married at Ashfield House in October this year. The venue was the most perfect venue we could have ever dreamed of. Everything about it was perfect. Ashfield went above and beyond for us, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were amazing. The day ran so smoothly because of Leanne, keeping us all on track with timings. The ceremony room is the most perfect room ever. Every single one of our guests could not believe the quality of the food, they said it was the best wedding food that they had ever had!! All of the rooms were stunning, the sitting room was amazing to get ready in and the breakfast was gorgeous. We had a little soft play in the music room for the kids and again, that was perfect! We managed to have some photos in the grounds and they are the most stunning photos with the Autumn trees. I would recommend Ashfield House to anybody for their special day, no other venue even comes close!!

The BEST Wedding Venue in the North!

We knew we wanted Ashfield House as soon as we looked around. We LOVED that we had the whole house to ourself for the day. The venue is perfect, with all its quirky details, the ceremony room, bar and main room are all beautiful. We loved that the guests could stay overnight. The bedrooms at Ashfield house are simply STUNNING, everyone commented on them. I feel that one of the main things guest remember about your wedding is the food. The food and options available are incredible. It amazed us how well catered everyone was, how seamless and efficient the staff were. More importantly, how delicious the food was! The staff could not do enough for us! Our wedding Planner Jennie, was onboard through the whole process, holding our hand, and making sure that everything went to plan. Our wedding celebrant Carol, made sure the wedding itself was personal. She spent time with us getting to know us and it was emotional, beautiful and wonderful. We couldn't have asked for more!
