Completing our UK Wedding Report survey, and entering the prize draw to win a £1,000 voucher? Here are the relevant terms and conditions.

What you need to know

What is this?

We’re running our annual UK Wedding Report survey – a few minutes of your time to help us understand what’s really happening with weddings right now. Your answers help shape the Bridebook Wedding Report and our wider content, used by hundreds of thousands of couples every year, in stories such as our average cost of a wedding report.

Is there a prize?

Yes. Everyone who completes the survey in full is entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a £1,000 Amazon voucher

How do I enter?

Complete the Wedding Report survey in full. That’s it – you’re entered automatically. One entry per person, and it’s completely free to enter.

When does it run?

The survey is open for entries on a rolling basis throughout the year. All valid entries received between 1 December and 30 November the following year (the “Entry Period”) will be entered into that year’s prize draw.

You must be a UK resident, aged 18 or over, and currently engaged or planning a wedding. Bridebook employees, their immediate families, and anyone professionally connected to this promotion aren’t eligible.

How is the winner chosen and told?

The winner is selected at random from all eligible, completed entries after the closing date, and contacted directly by email by a member of the Bridebook team. We will never ask you for personal data.

What happens to my survey answers?

Your individual answers are never published or shared with third parties. We use responses in aggregate – for example, “41% of couples said…” – in the Bridebook Wedding Report, on our website and blog, in our social content and advertising, and when we talk to journalists. If we’d ever like to quote you or your story by name, we’ll always ask you separately, and it’s entirely optional.

Full Terms & Conditions

1. The Promoter

This survey and prize draw (the “Promotion”) is run by Bridebook Ltd, company number 09190872 registered office 43 Manchester Street, London, W1U 7LP (“Bridebook”, “we”, “us”). Bridebook is the Promoter and the data controller for the purposes of this Promotion.

2. What This Promotion Is

The Promotion has two connected but distinct parts:

  • The Survey: a data-collection exercise by questionnaire, open to UK residents, used to produce Bridebook’s annual Wedding Report and related content.
  • The Prize Draw: a free-to-enter incentive open only to those who complete the Survey in full.

No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter the Prize Draw, and entering does not increase your chances of winning by any means other than submitting one valid entry.

3. Eligibility

  • Entrants must be aged 18 or over and legally resident in the United Kingdom.
  • Entrants must be engaged, newly married or already planning a wedding, and hold or create a Bridebook account as part of entry.
  • Employees (and their immediate families or household members) of Bridebook, its group companies, and any agency or third party directly connected with the administration of this Promotion are not eligible to enter the Prize Draw.
  • One (1) Survey entry, and therefore one (1) Prize Draw entry, per person. Bridebook reserves the right to disqualify duplicate, fraudulent or incomplete entries.

4. How to Enter

Entrants complete the Wedding Report survey in full via https://bridebookuk.typeform.com/WedSurvey2027 during the Promotion Period.

Completing the Survey automatically constitutes one entry into the Prize Draw – no separate action is required. Entries submitted on behalf of another person, or by automated means, bulk entry, or third-party entry services, will be void.

5. Promotion Period

The Survey and Prize Draw open on Monday 17th August 2026. All valid entries received between 1 December and 30 November the following year (the “Entry Period”) will be entered into that year’s prize draw.

Bridebook reserves the right to extend, shorten, suspend or cancel the Promotion Period where reasonably necessary, and will communicate any material change via the same channels used to promote the Promotion.

6. The Prize

One (1) winner will receive £1,000, awarded as an Amazon voucher.

The prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable, and no cash alternative will be offered unless Bridebook determines this is necessary, in which case a prize of equal or greater value may be substituted.

Bridebook is not responsible for the winner’s inability to use the prize (for example, voucher terms, expiry, or redemption restrictions imposed by a third-party provider).

The winner is responsible for any tax liability arising from receipt of the prize and for seeking independent advice on this if needed.

7. Winner Selection and Notification

The winner will be selected at random using a verifiably random computer process from all eligible entries within the Promotion Period, within 14 working days of the closing date.

The winner will be notified by email using the address provided at entry. If the winner does not respond within 14 days of notification, Bridebook reserves the right to select an alternative winner. The prize will normally be provided within 30 days of the winner confirming acceptance.

In line with the CAP Code, Bridebook will make the winner’s surname and county available to anyone who requests this within a reasonable period after the draw closes, by writing to [email protected]. Entrants may ask for their surname and county to be withheld, in which case Bridebook will supply this information to the ASA on request.

8. How We Use Your Data

This section applies to all entrants.

8.1 Survey response data

We use the substance of your survey answers – your views, experiences, and the figures you provide — in aggregated and/or anonymised form to produce:

  • the annual Bridebook UK Wedding Report and equivalent international reports (B2B use);
  • consumer content such as our annual “cost of a wedding” story and related editorial (B2C use);
  • organic and paid social content and advertising;
  • PR outreach and media commentary, including statistics cited to journalists.
  • Individual survey responses are not published, attributed to you by name, or shared with third parties. If we’d like to feature your personal story, quote or photo identifiably (for example, in a case study), we will ask for your separate, explicit, opt-in consent at that time – this is never a condition of Survey or Prize Draw entry.

8.2 Prize Draw administration data

If you enter the Prize Draw, we also collect your name and email address to administer the draw, contact the winner and arrange delivery of the prize. This data is used solely for these purposes and is not used for the marketing purposes described below unless you have separately opted in.

8.3 Legal basis

We process personal data for the following purposes and on the following legal bases:

  • Prize Draw administration and prize fulfilment – where processing is necessary to administer the Promotion in accordance with these Terms and/or for our legitimate interests in operating and managing the Promotion fairly.
  • Survey research, analysis and reporting – our legitimate interests in carrying out research, understanding wedding trends and producing Bridebook’s Wedding Report and related aggregated or anonymised content, where those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
  • Marketing communications – where required, your consent or another lawful basis permitted under applicable data protection and electronic marketing laws.Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
  • Consent – for Prize Draw entry, prize fulfilment, and any optional marketing communications.
  • Legitimate interests – for aggregated, anonymised research and reporting use of survey data, where this does not identify any individual.

8.4 Retention

Prize Draw administration data will normally be deleted within six (6) months after the prize has been awarded.

Identifiable Survey response data will normally be retained for up to twelve (12) months after publication of the relevant Wedding Report, after which it will be deleted or anonymised.

Aggregated or anonymised data may be retained indefinitely. Marketing data is retained separately in accordance with Bridebook’s privacy policy.

8.5 Your rights

You have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting entries already processed. You can exercise these rights by contacting [email protected].

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Our full privacy policy is available at https://bridebook.com/uk/privacy-policy.

By entering, entrants confirm that all information provided is true, accurate and their own.

Bridebook reserves the right to verify entries and to disqualify any entrant who does not meet these terms or who is reasonably suspected of fraudulent or abusive conduct.

Bridebook is not responsible for entries lost, delayed or not received due to technical failure of any kind.

Bridebook’s decision on all matters relating to the Promotion is final; no correspondence will be entered into beyond the process set out in these terms.Bridebook reserves the right to amend these terms, or to cancel, suspend or void the Promotion, where reasonably necessary (for example, for reasons beyond its control), and will take reasonable steps to notify entrants of any material change.
