What is your most memorable wedding?
I really enjoyed filming Amanda and Paul's wedding and their reception at Northcote House. The church was beautiful and I was able to capture a perfect moment afterwards when the wind caught the bride's veil and lifted it. I use that as my website picture and Facebook banner and Amanda still uses it as her facebook profile picture.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Bespoke, creative, natural, relaxed, contemporary.
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am very proud of the service I give to my couples both before and after their wedding day. From helping with the planning to providing some wonderful stills from the wedding film free of charge and fitting in seamlessly on the day as well as providing stunning wedding films to treasure.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Relax and enjoy it. Choose the things that make you happy but don't forget that when the day is over, your wedding film is something to look back on forever and being able to relive the joy and laughter, tears and emotions is priceless.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One of my couples had decorated their venue with a screen made up of origami swans and birds they had both spent many months folding. Quite spectacular.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I try to respond quickly to any enquiry and arrange for a personal consultation, either in person or via phone or email. If possible I like to meet couples at the venue and I can also arrange to attend a rehearsal if they have one. I'm always available to answer questions they might have. On the day I work with their photographer, master of ceremonies etc and try to ensure the filming is unobtrusive to give a true flavour of their wedding day, capturing their personalities and style.
What is the most exciting thing you have caught on camera?
At a wedding the most exciting things to capture are the unexpected moments whether it's something the guests do or the couple themselves. It's always exciting to capture something or some fleeting moment that you know the couple will love to see again but probably wouldn't even remember without the film of it to remind them.
What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?
I specialise in adding the music couples choose to their wedding films and matching the music to the mood or scene. It's always a joy to find a track that reflects the personality of the couple and their wedding day.
Describe how you got into videography.
I started off filming and editing ice skating pantomimes, shows and competitions, as I am myself a competitive amateur figure skater. When my skating coach got married she asked if I'd film her wedding day and I trained specifically in wedding filming with the award winning Len Bateman in Wales. From there I took on more weddings and I now enjoy developing my skills, to provide the highest quality wedding films, with a personal touch.
