Memento Pictures is the only wedding film business here which exclusively uses analogue media to capture your wedding. Genuine Kodak cine film shot with original vintage cameras, and Polaroid stills taken with the most advanced instant cameras the company ever made. Digital video trends come and go but real film has a unique quality which is timeless. If you want your wedding film to be marvellous it has to be analogue not digital. Real film. No filters!
They are all memorable but usually for very different reasons!
Vintage. Retro. Authentic. Original. Memorable.
Keeping film shooting alive and well!
Research your suppliers thoroughly and ask the right questions to make sure you receive what you expected.
I like to meet my couples online to find out about their vision for the film they want me to make. I need to make sure they understand what I do (not the technology but the look and feel) because Super 8 cine film may not be the best choice for them and if that's the case I'll let them know. If the couple think I'm a good fit we can move on to discussing the package which is right for their vision and budget. Once we agree I'll send a contract and if they are happy with that then I ask for a small deposit to secure their date. I will request another meeting a few weeks before the wedding day to check whether anything has changed and adjust plans accordingly if that is the case. Then I arrive on the big day to shoot the film! No faff and no surprises...
'Heat' - because then I'd be Michael Mann!
The one which best captures the couple's energy and mood on their day.
I taught film production technology at Birmingham City University for over twenty years before leaving to set up Memento Pictures. But I first fell in love with film aged 12 when my Dad bought his first Super 8 camera!
