The reception rooms of this Grade II*-listed Victorian country house have been lovingly restored to elegant rooms in which you can set your ideal Wedding Reception.
Working with our dedicated wedding coordinator and caterer, you may use the space however you want and dress the rooms to your own theme. We will allow access for preparation from 8:00am the day before your wedding. When the day is over, relax! It can all be cleared tomorrow, with access all day to tidy up.
Whether you work with a wedding planner, or plan a simple family celebration, Whitbourne Hall is the perfect place to bring your dreams to life.
The atrium is the most impressive room, right in the centre of the house with a fine marble staircase leading up to the gallery, oak doors lead off from here to all of the main rooms. On a fine day welcome drinks can be enjoyed on the terrace. Should the weather be unkind the atrium is the ideal place for guests to mingle.
The Adam-style drawing room is blue and gold with gilt mirrors, painted panels and a crystal chandelier. It will seat 130 guests. The curved windows form a large bay overlooking the terrace.
Next door is the morning room, a comfortable sitting room. A changing room for the bride, or a quiet area for guests; the choice is yours.
The dining room retains its original dining suite, and will provide grand dining for up to 24 at the table, or about 70 seated at round tables. All the furniture can be cleared if this room is chosen for dancing.
The hire package includes the use of the entrance; atrium; drawing and dining rooms; morning room; kitchen; cloakrooms and terrace. We can provide sufficient tables and chairs to seat 130 guests for a formal meal. There is ample parking outside the Hall, and overspill parking on grass.
Disabled access to the house is by portable ramp; inside, all doors are very wide and an accessible WC is available.
