Waveney House Hotel

The Waveney House Hotel really was the perfect venue for us. We had been together nearly 14 years before the BIG DAY finally came. We both grew up in the Beccles area and have been to the Waveney many times over the years. It even turns out Craig's parents met at the Waveney back in the early 80's, a detail we only found out after booking the venue. So it was already a special place to us before the wedding. The Waveney is in a beautiful location next to the river with glorious backdrops everywhere you turn. However, for us the staff were what made our day so special. By the time the ceremony came we already felt like everyone was family. Everyone was so helpful, friendly and good-humoured. We met with Kim several times in the lead up to the wedding and she made the entire planning process effortless. She made sure we were always looked after and the team continued this throughout the wedding weekend. The food was outstanding and arrived with such speed and grace. The team also did a wonderful job of catering for our vegan/vegetarian guests too. On the wedding night we had booked out the entire hotel with our guests and it was a really fun atmosphere knowing that so many friends and family were 'staying over'. Then a fantastic group breakfast was put on Sunday morning afterwards. The Waveney really felt like home for three days full of family, and that's including the staff. We keep thinking back to the day and we wish we could do it again and again. It really was the perfect weekend. We're already thinking of any excuse to book the Waveney House Hotel again... maybe an anniversary party? Just so we get to go back!

My husband and I had our wedding celebration here and it was everything we could have hoped for. The location speaks for itself, with a glorious view of the river from the function room, and the suite of course. The food was top notch, delicious, with any dietary requirements taken care of. But what was more notable was the helpful support of Kim and her team. Particularly as an organisationally challenged person myself(!), I found Kim's help, advice, suggestions and good humour extremely welcome. She really did think of everything and made the preparations so much easier, and the staff also made us feel really special. I can only recommend this super venue.

Was the hottest day of the year ever! Kim was amazing in all the organising on the run up to the day. Nothing was too much trouble. Anything we wanted was accomadated. Unfortunately she was unable to be there on the day but the manager stepped in and made the day run smoothly. Was an incredible day and could not thank them all enough.

We had a brilliant day, and loved every minute of it! Kim and her team were all so helpful and supportive, and helped make the day go like clockwork. Lots of space, we had the whole venue to ourselves all day and with the river Waveney next to us - perfect!
