Our perfect day! Our perfect day!
I cannot thank the Lanwades team enough for making our day so special. They thought of everything, even down to the smallest detail - nothing was too much trouble. Alex and Elvis made the whole planning process an absolute pleasure, right from the very first visit. On the run-up to the big day and on the day itself, Carmen was a calm and reassuring presence, keeping everything running smoothly. The beautiful house and gardens were the perfect backdrop. The whole experience was a joy and has given us memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. I would highly recommend Lanwades to anyone looking for the perfect intimate venue to host their celebration. I cannot thank the Lanwades team enough for making our day so special. We absolutely loved the elegance and ambiance of Lanwades Hall for our wedding, and so many of our guests commented on just how beautiful the setting was. The venue offers excellent value for money, allowing us to access the property the afternoon before at no extra charge to drop items off, which made our preparations so much easier. The entire property is meticulously maintained, and our hosts were incredibly warm, personable, and accommodating throughout. They worked seamlessly with Portfolio Events to ensure the catering and service for our guests were completely flawless on the day. Having access to the stunning honeymoon suite on the night of our wedding was a wonderful highlight, and the beautiful grounds provided the perfect backdrop for some truly elegant photos. We deeply appreciated the thoughtful card and jar of honey gifted to us the morning after, and we would love to return for a picnic in the grounds one day in the future. A special shout-out to Elvis for helping make our experience so memorable - we couldn't recommend this venue highly enough! Dear Elvis, Alex, Natalie, Carmen and the entire Lanwades Hall team, Adam and I are still on cloud 9 and wanted to send a huge thank you following our wedding. We apologise it's taken us this long - we've been shattered after the highs of the weekend! We cannot put into words quite how magical the day was. When we were choosing a venue, it wasn't just Lanwades Hall itself that made us fall in love with it - it was the team. From the very beginning, every interaction with your team was warm, kind, professional and welcoming, and my word, that shone through on the day itself. We have received so many compliments about how beautiful the venue was. I literally gasped when I saw the lavender on the Friday - the colour was unbelievable. And the jasmine arch smelled divine! The whole venue looked stunning and created the most incredible backdrop for our wedding. It was magical from start to finish. What we appreciated most, though, was everything that happened behind the scenes that we'll probably never even know about. The logistics, organisation, co-ordination and countless moving parts that go into delivering a wedding day of that scale must be enormous. Yet from our perspective, everything felt completely seamless. We were able to spend the day simply enjoying ourselves, being present with our family and friends, and celebrating together, because we knew everything was being taken care of. We cannot recommend Lanwades Hall enough. The whole process from booking, to the pre-wedding meetings, to the wedding day was so super smooth. We absolutely fell in love with Lanwades the minute we saw it at one of their Open Days. Elvis, Alex and the whole team are just so friendly, welcoming and super organised. Everything on our wedding day ran so smoothly and we didn’t have to think about a single thing. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them throughout the whole process. We did the multi day option and the breakfast on the morning of the wedding and morning after was delicious with lots of choices. The accommodation was stunning and so clean and homely. We, and all our guests, had such an amazing time staying there. So many of our guests commented on how nice the venue was. The gardens and grounds are gorgeous and we got some absolutely stunning photos around them. We would not have wanted our wedding to be anywhere else, it was the most perfect day, at the most perfect venue, in the most perfect setting. Lanwades Hall and all the team meant we had the most special wedding we could’ve ever asked for! The team were absolutely exceptional and looked after us throughout the whole process! The planning meeting was incredibly detailed, and they were always able to answer all of our questions. The team were always very quick to respond via email too. We booked a multi day wedding meaning we were able to set up the day before and both Elvis and Rebecca were amazing in their support with setting up and being a great point of contact. Rebecca looked after us on the big day and was always around to help when needed and helped coordinate the day and keep everything flowing smoothly and according to plan. Everyone at Lanwades went above and beyond to make our day amazing and amazing it was! We are so grateful that we chose Lanwades Hall as our venue as it is a truly stunning place, the sunken garden was beautiful, the house itself is just beautiful! It couldn’t have been more perfect, the venue is just stunning and the team made the whole process so much less stressful - I’m so grateful to the whole team for giving us the wedding of our dreams! Thanks to the whole team at Lanwades Hall, who helped make our wedding day so special. The main reason we chose Lanwades was that it feels stately and special but still super inviting and comfortable - it's big enough to give people room but not so big they get lost, and you really feel like the place is yours for the day. The inside needs very little dressing because it's already so tastefully decorated, the building and grounds are amazing backdrops for photos, and the gardens are gorgeous all year round – our wedding was at the end of March and the sunken garden had begun to bloom. Several of our guests commented on what a stunning venue Lanwades is! Another draw for us was the accommodation. Our entire wedding party (including ourselves!) were travelling from different parts of the country, so it was lovely to be able to have nearest and dearest on site for the nights before and after the actual wedding day. The rooms are beautifully finished, and the comfort and luxury of the wedding suite itself was unmatched by any others we saw. The Cedar suite for grooms to get ready is a really thoughtful addition and was a much appreciated bonus for us! The best thing about Lanwades is the people - everyone was warm and responsive from our first showaround to our wedding day almost two years later. Alex and Elvis are just the most welcoming and accommodating hosts, remembering details that meant we had a really personal experience. Charlotte is so positive to work with and was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process, and Tegan was really lovely and organised on the wedding weekend itself. We got married at Lanwades Halll at the beginning of April 2026. Everything was amazing. The staff right from the start of our wedding journey were incredible. They were very attentive and took the stress out of arranging our wedding. On the day they ensured everything ran perfectly. They had recommended suppliers who we used and they were brilliant. The venue is beautiful, the gardens are picturesque and it was the perfect place for our special day. I would definitely recommend Lanwades for a wedding or another event. Our day was perfect. From the minute we stepped foot on the property on our first meeting with Charlotte, we felt welcomed, cared for and important. Throughout the whole planning process, no question was a silly one and no ask was too big. On our big day, Tegan and Charlotte ensured it was everything and more. The day ran so smoothly and I (a major control freak) never felt the need to think about anything but enjoying myself because everything was taken care of! It was truly the wedding of my dreams and I long to relive it again every day. When we first visited the venue, we were immediately sold by the gorgeous venue, friendly team and the spring time daffodils in the grounds. We were so impressed that we booked our wedding a year earlier than we had originally been planning! The team were on hand throughout the planning process, to help with anything we could possibly need and to accommodate requests that wouldn't have been part of the normal package - we are so grateful as some of these details are what made our day so special for us. We stayed for the three night package and being able to set up the afternoon before made the actual day a much more relaxing experience. Having our closest friends and family staying on site in the apartments with us set the mood from the get go. The teams attention to detail and calm manner helped us to relax and enjoy the day - I hadn't been fully prepared for how non-stop a wedding day truly is for the bride and groom! We couldn't have been luckier with spring sunshine, the most amazing food and all of the help and support we received. How much does a wedding at Lanwades Hall cost?

Every celebration is unique, so pricing vary depending on your chosen season, day of the week, and guest count.

To give you a general guide, here is an example based on a popular mid-week date (a Thursday in September 2027 for 60 day & evening guests):

Exclusive Venue Hire: £4,350
Catering: £6,120 (60 adults, including canapés, a 3-course wedding breakfast, and evening food)
Drinks Package: £1,560 (60 adults)
Total: £12,030 (Includes complimentary use of the Honeymoon Suite on your wedding night)

To make planning stress-free, venue payments are spread across 4 manageable instalments. Please note that catering is handled directly with our catering partner, who operates under their own payment terms.

What are the key additional costs to keep in mind?

Beyond your venue, catering, and drinks, you will need to book your civil registrar or celebrant directly. Beyond your complimentary Honeymoon Suite, additional guest bedrooms are available from £125 to £230 per night. Booking these extra rooms is entirely optional—we never require you to hire all accommodation across the estate.

What is the guest capacity for weddings at Lanwades Hall?

Inside the historic house, we can accommodate up to 80 guests for a daytime ceremony and seated wedding breakfast, and up to 130 guests for the evening reception.

For larger daytime celebrations, we can host up to 130 guests for your wedding breakfast by placing a marquee on the grounds, allowing all 130 of your guests to then join together inside the historic house for the evening reception.

Can we get married outdoors?

Yes! Our licensed outdoor ceremonies take place in the stunnning Sunken Garden, framed by our historic stone steps and lush greenery.

What options are available for indoor ceremonies?

The Morning Room: Bright and elegant with views over the terrace (up to 70 guests).

The Great Hall: Grand, oak-panelled room ideal for larger celebrations (up to 80 guests).

The Old Library: Intimate space featuring an open log fire (up to 20 guests).

How does catering work at Lanwades Hall?

We work exclusively with our trusted, award-winning catering partner, Portfolio Events.They offer a full range of bespoke menus—from delicate canapés and multi-course wedding breakfasts to relaxed evening food.You will work directly with their team to build a menu tailored to your tastes and dietary requirements

Can we bring our own alcohol?

Drinks are provided through our flexible drinks packages, we do have a corkage option in case you want to fully personalise your day. We also have a fully licensed and staffed bar in the Drawing Room serves guests throughout the day.

Can we bring our own suppliers?

While catering is handled exclusively by our trusted partners, Portfolio Events, you can choose your own suppliers for everything for other items—including photographers, florists, DJs, musicians, and stylists. We are also delighted to share our recommended supplier list if you need any inspiration!

What accommodation is available on site?

Alongside our luxurious Honeymoon Suite for the couple, we offer additional 14 bedrooms set across self-contained spaces on the estate, accommodating up to 28 overnight guests in total
