Our gorgeous Victorian Gazebo is fully licensed for ceremonies, as is our beautiful South African stretch tent covered decking area. Surprise your guests with a stunning view across the harbour at our waterfront lawn, or explore our enchanting woodland lawns. Eat, drink and party in our bright and airy marquee, and relax by the firepit as the night draws to a close. You have total freedom to design your ideal wedding and use your own hand-picked suppliers, including caterers. To help you plan your perfect day at Tournerbury, our in-house wedding specialists, Leanne & Ella, will be on hand with plenty of ideas and inspiration, along with tips and tricks for you to get the most out of your day! For you and your guests’ overnight accommodation, the beautifully refurbished Woods Cottage sleeps up to eight people. The grounds offer fantastic camping opportunities for your more adventurous guests to sleep beneath the stars. Woods Cottage is also your bridal base during the day as boasts its own 'pamper' room for hair and make-up. This hidden gem of a venue is the only Ancient semi-natural woodland and seaside wedding venue in southern England. Honest opinion Honest opinion
This has taken me a long time to think over. I want this review to be very honest. First of all me and my now husband Visted Tournerbury Woods Estate back in early 2024. We very were impressed with the venue and We happily booked the venue due to it flexibility and the fact we could allow us to source our own alcohol and food if wished to. Anyway, the day of our wedding was beautiful, the weather was amazing. Ceremony to First part of Photos was great but then a family member of mine claps due to the heat. We phoned ambulance and we waited for over nearly an hour which to the responseders they couldn't locate the venue... I did bring this up to the manager insurance it wouldn't happen again, to any future weddings. He assured me that they have had ambulance service here for emergencies and had no clue to why they couldn't fine the place. Due to this nearly most family members lefted our wedding due to the lack of emergencies service so they could take my ill family member home to where they can "get to her" Again wasnt the venue fault but all staff on site were amazing in that time of need and made sure our family was fine and asked for regular updates to on the family members condition after she left the venue. After that rest of the photos where done and we carried on.... but then came out food, We ordered in a buffet from a local business and we also ordered in domino's pizza's. I said the wedding coordinator in the morning, two tables wont be enough... she told me these would be enough. Which they weren't. So isn't of asking me or my husband, she puts them in the back after telling one of my bridesmaids they weren't any spare tables... which was a lie once I confronted her and ask why they were there? And can you get another table? Magically got another table from the back and started getting our pizza's out for our guest. Then the coordinator started to complain about our guest bring our own drinks in and started telling everyone if they keep doing that they will shut down the bar we also hired for our wedding... when confronting her. she said in defence, "it was the bar frettening to shut down"... which wasnt true as i overheard the whole conversation as well did a bridemaid. Even the bar manager was confused by this aswell. So When we booked there course gave our their recommend suppliers. Sadly recommend suppliers were out of our budget. So we source a bar and food business elsewhere due to this and was advice that we can supplie our alcohol aswell allowing our guest bring their own in if they wish as they said they have "a licences" We had already had in writing with the bar we have our own alcohol aswell getting drinks from the bar. At this point of time doesnt seem to be a problem when we boguht it up to the wedding coordinator, 6 months before. But now it seemed to be problem to the wedding coordinator... First dance and the rest of the evening went on as planned but when we came to cleaning up we were told we had to take our rubbish away due to not going with an actual catering business, we did but they don't stay onsite as she a buffet business and had other places she needed to deliver to aswell, and didnt offer cleaning up service... staff of the venue helped clean up but again seemed to be issue to them. After us asking, if we can use there big bins, they denied they had any onsite but on our first visit to the venue we were shown the area where these big bin were... it felt like if you didn't go for there recommend suppliers there bins were hidden from us and denied the use of them. We also had issues getting back our security deposit right after our wedding, but after many emails, Texts and voicemails, we eventually got it back. But in that time it just seem like they were hoping we would forgotten after being told it guaranteed we will get it back after 20 days after our wedding, unless they found any issues after. No issue were bought up to us complete left in the dark to why it took over a month to receive it back... As a venue its beautiful and perfect setting but i would recommend if you would like your future couples to hire your recommend supplier, maybe add it into your package deals with the venue itself as I know you work loads with Hayling island catering company. And I think that would benefit you as a venue and the company your trying to support. I wouldn't say I wouldn't recommend you at all as the venue itself very lovely and has alot of potential. I think working on communications, what your presence you would prefer as a venues and definitely recommend clarifing on your allowance about own sourcing alcohol. It will stop alot of confusion and definitely better for you in the long run. I hope Tournerbury Woods Estate continues to grow and I hope you take this review as what the company can improve and develop from and hopefully not take this as a bad review. What a fantastic venue. Beautiful grounds with a large marquee set in a large forest near the sea. Totally DIY so we were able to add our personal touch. Highly recommendWhat a fantastic venue.
