The Waterside Hotel is situated on the north east coast of Scotland in one of the major fishing ports, Peterhead. There’s over 400 boats, a bustling daily fish market, plus a 100-berth marina. Whether you’re just passing through the area or have plans, the hotel provides the perfect base to explore what Peterhead has to offer. It’s here where you’ll find the dramatic cliff edge ruin of Slains Castle, where Bram Stoker is said to have been so inspired by the castle that he created Dracula! The castle is only 9 miles away, so it’s well worth a visit. If you continue along the coast to the north, 8.3 miles, you’ll discover the Loch of Strathbeg – Britain’s largest dune loch and a winter home for thousands of wild geese and swans.
