The Ravenswood

When we first started planning our wedding we decided we didn't want a 'traditional' wedding but when we viewed the Ravenswood we fell in love! It's absolutely stunning but doesn't have the feel of being too formal, it's a wholesome, beautiful, down to earth venue. My husband and I got married there last week (Dec 4th) and it really was the most special day of our lives! From start to finish it was smooth and enjoyable thanks to the help of all the staff at the Ravenswood, especially Natalie our wedding coordinator. If anyone was meant to do a job like that it's Natalie! She has the perfect mix of warmth with a friendly nature mixed with complete competence in arranging all the finer details! The Ravenswood is the most beautiful wedding venue I've ever seen and all our family and friends were honestly blown away with it! The Ravenswood was perfect for our cosy, romantic Christmas wedding! The twinkling lights everywhere, the fireplaces, the old gorgeous grounds were some highlights for me. All of our guests said how amazing the food was and we agreed! My mum, who can be hard to please was most delighted by the service and the meals that came out of hot plates. The honeymoon suite was absolutely beautiful and amazing to have that included in the package and then to wake up and have breakfast with all our guests the following morning was the icing on the cake! I cannot praise the Ravenswood enough and I wish we could do it all again!!!! If you're considering this venue, I would say do not hesitate, you won't be disappointed!!!

From the moment we arrived at The Ravenswood for our viewing we have been obsessed with this venue. We were meet by Ellie who showed us round the beautiful grounds and gorgeous building. We talked over what the day would look like from start to finish and we were sold. At every point the team looked after us, being invited to a food tasting evening with drinks and entertainment. This was a great night showing us what it would look and feel like to be a guest at a wedding. It was then we were introduced to Katie our wedding coordinator. We can not express enough love and gratitude towards Katie, she is absolutely amazing. She made us feel at ease, and that nothing was too much. Anything and everything we were unsure of Katie had a solution for us. She gave us perfect suggestions from her wealth of experience and knowledge. She knew exactly what we wanted/needed to hear which took away any doubts we had and made us both feel reassured. Katie recommend Fiona a harpist to play intro for our guest arrival as this was something we were unsure of. Fiona was just our cup of tea and recommended as Katie understood our style and taste. We also booked John Scofield Photography who has done many weddings at The Ravenswood, and together with Katie they made an incredible team. We can’t talk about how amazing everything was on the day enough, and this is all in credit to Katie and the team at The Ravenswood. Thank you so so much for giving us the magical wedding day we have both dreamed of, we wish we could do it all again. Forever grateful Mr & Mr Thatcher-Welham.

As soon as we were shown around the venue on our first visit we knew we wanted to book it for our wedding. The venue were so helpful and were happy to make minor changes to help our day feel more personal. Katie was a wonderful wedding coordinator on the day and in the run up. She made sure everything was perfect for our special day and that it ran like clockwork. All our guests were singing hers and the venues praises. Thank you, we had a wonderful day x

I can’t rate this venue and their staff any higher. What a fantastic venue! From the beautiful grounds in any season , to the 5* food, not to mention the staff who literally will accommodate pretty much any request to please their couples. I couldn’t have asked for more . Beautiful venue + beautiful staff = win win !!

We knew as soon as we visited The Ravenswood that it was the Wedding venue for us! We had the most perfect day thanks to our wonderful Wedding planner and all the staff who went above and beyond to make it special for us. We honestly couldn't have asked for more. Thank you

We had our wedding at The Ravenswood in October 2024 and it was a lovely experience. We were given our own wedding Coordinator, Katie, and she was brilliant at helping to guide us through all the preparations involved. All our guests remarked on how professional, yet friendly the staff at The Ravenswood were. On the day of the wedding all the bar staff were attentive, and very organised. The food at the wedding breakfast was really tasty and delivered to us at the perfect temperature. The grounds of The Ravenswood are stunning and clearly well managed. Unfortunately the weather was mostly rain on our wedding day, however the interiors of Ravenswood are equally as stunning. With the help of the staff, who lit the fires in the ceremony room and turned on all the twinkling fairy lights we had the perfect cozy autumnal wedding. In the evening after a lovely day we headed to our honeymoon suite, which was a peaceful retreat from the busy day, we even had some wedding cake cut up and left in our suite for us to enjoy! Would highly recommend The Ravenswood and thank them for all their hard work.

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Couldn’t have imagined getting married anywhere other than the Ravenswood, every single detail was covered and nothing was every to small of a problem for them. The venue, staff, food and decor was all absolutely stunning which helped contribute to the best day of our lives. Special shout out to Katie the wedding coordinator, it really wouldn’t have been possible without you, you are one in a million and helped bring our vision to a reality. For anyone still choosing where to get married I promise pick the Ravenswood and you will not be disappointed with them or Katie!!! Love Ben and Katie

The day ran like a dream thanks to the amazing staff, they made sure myself, my husband and all of our guests were well taking care of. Our wedding coordinator Dawn made the day amazing and stress free allowing us to just enjoy the moment. The venue is stunning and I can't wait to see all the pictures

I would highly recommend The Ravenswood for your Wedding, the whole process from, the tour, to booking, to our wedding co-ordinator Molly, the food, the grounds & the list goes on. Nothing at all we can fault & nothing was ever too much! We hope to go back one day soon. Thank you so so much to The Ravenswood team, especially Molly, for making our Wedding Day perfect!

We had the privilege of having Katie as our wedding coordinator and we could not thank her enough! We were incredibly lucky to have someone who is so passionate about weddings be a part of our special day and truly do not think it would have run as smoothly without her. Katie checked in with us throughout the day to let us know suppliers had arrived, checked decor was set up correctly and importantly to make sure we always had a drink. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives and we are lucky to be able to say it really was perfect. The Ravenswood Team must do thousands of weddings a year but they made ours feel like the only one. All of the staff on site were amazing with creating the wedding of our dreams and the cocktails were such a hit! We had lots going on throughout the whole day and nothing was too much to ask. The food was above and beyond the standard of traditional wedding breakfasts.
