This is a great venue for a wedding. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough. The food was amazing and there is a great choice. You get use of 1 golf buggy in the package to go down to the bridge for photo's and it was really fun driving it aroundThis is a great venue for a wedding. After a recent wedding at this venue I can't recommend this place enough,first class service from everyone concerned that made it a special day for my son and now daughter in law with everything running as smoothly as it could have possibly gone. Thanks especially to Chelsea for all her hard work, not forgetting Matt,James,Ed, Rob sorry if I've forgotten anyone, once again a huge well done to all involved and thanks.After a recent wedding at this venue I can't recommend this place enough,first class service from everyone concerned that made it a special day for my son and now daughter in law with everything running as smoothly as it could have possibly gone. We got married at The Old Nene on the 14th May, and it was the most amazing day! The whole team at The Old Nene went above and beyond to make our day as perfect as possible. The venue is so beautiful and so many of our guests have commented on the venue and the food supplied by the venue (it was delicious!!). Nicola helped us to plan every inch of our day and covered everything possible. She was always at the end of the phone or an email if I ever needed her. She was always willing to answer one of my hundreds of questions. She is really a superstar! The venue were so accommodating for any of our needs and even made changing date easy during covid. We booked out all of the on site lodges for the wedding weekend which was perfect. It was ideal being on site ready and not having to travel at all on the day. Plus it meant that we got more of a wedding weekend not just a wedding day. Meaning we could soak everything in without rushing around. The venue has the most beautiful spots for photographs too, it really does look amazing. All in all The Old Nene really helped us to have the best wedding day, it really was everything we could ever have dreamed of. They handled everything and made the whole process an absolute breeze. I would highly recommend The Old Nene as a wedding venue! Thank you all so much for everything on the build up to and on our special day. 'We got married on the 25th June 2022 and we cannot recommend The Old Nene Golf and Country club enough for making our wedding day the best day ever! Nicola was amazing at coordinating our wedding and was always prompt at answering any questions we had. Nicola and the team were brilliant on the day of the wedding, making sure everything ran smoothly. The food and drinks served were perfect and we chose the BBQ option, which everyone loved. Nicola and the team were so accommodating. The venue itself is stunning and we found it to be very affordable, which was a bonus! We hired the main restaurant area which was the perfect size for our guests (we had around 70 seated) and the terrace area acts as a lovely extension to the room, overlooking the grounds, especially if the weather is nice. We absolutely loved using the golf buggy when we went for our couple photos. It was nice for Ash and i to have some time on our own and make some hilarious memories driving the buggy around. Its a must do!! We just wanted to say a massive thank you for helping to make our wedding so perfect! We loved every minute of it and you and all the staff made sure everything went exactly as we had hoped. We have had nothing but compliments from our friends and family on the beautiful venue and it's setting, and everybody absolutely loved the food (You guys know how to BBQ!). We wish we could do it all again, but we just really want you to know how much we appreciate everything you've helped us with. The venue, staff and service are amazing! Chelsea helped plan our day and was absolutely brilliant, the day wouldn't have been the same without her! Also thank you James for your help Friday evening. Everyone commented on what a beautiful venue it was and how lovely the food was. We also stayed in a lodge which are so homely and decorated to a high standard. Thank you Matt and Amy for such a laid back and amazing dayThe venue, staff and service are amazing! Your team responded immediately to any requests we had on the day and nothing seemed too much hassle for them. Many of our guests commented on the young man(I think he was called Harry) saying he went above and beyond to please them. The burgers and jacket potatoes were also a big hit with many positive comments about how tasty the food was and some of the best wedding food they had ever had. Again we can't thank you enough for being the reason us, our friends and family will hold our wedding day close to our hearts for years to come.Just wanted to email to say thank you to you and all the Old Nene Team. We got married here on Saturday 21.05.2022, the whole venue, lodge and staff were all amazing. We had so many complements on the food and the beautiful views. It was a perfect day and ran very smoothly thanks to Nicola. The lodge we stayed in was the Great Raveley retreat and it was lovely it looked out on to a beautiful lake and included a hot tub. The lodge was clean and very comfortable with everything we needed for the weekend. A massive thank you to Nicola and all the staff you helped make our special day magical.We got married here on Saturday 21.05.2022, the whole venue, lodge and staff were all amazing.
