The Hole in the Wall is a 15th century, Grade II, listed public house with a mid-17th century addition to the west gable end. If you're wondering who christened the Hole in the Wall, the name was acquired by the pub actually having a hole in the wall. Exhausted farmers and workers would grab their real ales through the hole in the wall, and then stumble their way home. Although this fabled hole was filled many, many years ago, you'll be pleased to know that we still serve reinvigorating, gastro quality food and drinks.
