We hold weddings & ceremonies throughout the year on Sundays and Mondays, offering a two-hour opening for your event. If you would prefer to arrange for another day during the week, please discuss this with us and we will do our best to accommodate you. Ceremonies are conducted in the Great Hall and followed by a self-catered drinks reception in the walled garden. There are a range of facilities onsite, and we are licenced to play music in the Great Hall. Greyfriars is the perfect venue for those looking to hold an intimate ceremony shared with close family and friends, set against a historic backdrop.

A wonderful day
Having our wedding at Greyfriars was easily the best decision we have made. They have the most amazing set of staff and volunteers who ensured our day ran so smoothly without a single hiccup. We appreciated each and every single person who helped to make our day to special, guiding our guests to their seats, supporting the bride in a private room, setting up the venue exactly how we wanted and organising the arrival of extras such as the violinist etc. The venue itself is beautiful, dark and perfect for a small intimate wedding. The gardens were flowering in mid summer and we took full advantage whilst having our drinks reception outside. Our photos are fantastic, and the Tudor building really showcases its beautiful in black and white. I would highly reccomend Greyfriars as a venue if intimate is what you’re looking for.
