The hire charge applies to any day of the week (excluding Sunday) and is inclusive of access to The Granary throughout the whole day of the booking*1, access the day before, tables and chairs (set up before and cleared away after your event), use of our kitchen facilities*2 and a fully licensed, stocked and staffed pay bar during your event. We can also arrange crewed boat/s for trips along the River Stour for you and your guests*3.
*1 The Granary Civil Wedding Package requires the premises to be vacated 2 hours after the ceremony.
*2 Standard bar timings are usually 5pm-11pm with a charge per hour for any additional hours. The Granary Civil Wedding Package does not include bar service/provision of drinks for which an additional £100.00 charge applies.
*3 The Rosette Wedding is inclusive of a crewed boat for 2 consecutive hours (additional hours and/or boat/s can be arranged).

The Granary, Suffolk Full Description
The Granary is a Grade II listed, red brick Georgian building that was built in 1807 for the River Stour Navigation Company. It was restored by the River Stour Trust in 1989 and can be privately hired for a variety of functions. It is an approved venue for civil ceremonies and its first floor function room, The Barratt Room, can accommodate up to 80 guests for a ceremony, 70 guests for a seated meal or 100 guests (mixed occupancy). We are situated in beautiful surroundings next to the River Stour and are able to offer our boats as part of any chosen wedding package (Spring to October).
